Browns Re-sign TE Blake Whiteheart for Depth

0:00On March 23rd, the Cleveland Browns just resigned tight-end Blake Whiteheart to bring back some familiar depth to their roster. He spent the last two seasons with the team, starting on the practice squad in 2024 before bouncing between there and the active roster. That year, he played in 11 games with two starts, and in 2025, he appeared in all 17 games earning four starts. Overall with Cleveland, Whiteheart has eight catches for 55 yards and one touchdown. Before joining the Browns, he signed as an undrafted free agent with the Arizona Cardinals in 2023 and saw action in two games there. This move adds better an experience to a tight-end group led by Harold Fanon Jr. alongside newcomer Jack Stowe and depth players like Sal Canella and Caden Priestcorn. It strengthens their options heading into training camp, giving the coaching staff more reliable pieces to build around.
