Browns Push for Longer Draft Pick Trades

Already, six first round picks from this year's draft have changed hands, including Denver's recent swap to Miami for wide receiver Jalen Waddle. The Browns say this tweak would spark a livelier trade market and give teams better roster options, much like the NBA's 7-year trading window. Still, it needs votes from at least 24 of the 32 teams to pass. No proposals came in to ban the Tusha push this time around, and the Competition Committee plans to reveal its own ideas next week. Meanwhile, the Steelers want to lock in last season's trial, allowing up to five direct calls with players during free agency talks. They also seek permission for teams to arrange travel for players who've agreed to deals before the league year starts, aiming to smooth out the process.
