Browns Pick Tate at 6, Boost Passing Game

On April 5th, the Cleveland Browns are still searching for that franchise quarterback, even

with three options already on the roster.

None of them scream top tier talent, and their first rom pick in the 2026 NFL Draft won't

fix it either.

Since no one's projecting as a top 10 guy, except maybe one backup name, they do have 9 total

picks though, including the 6 overall and the 24th spot, giving them ammo to build around

whoever starts under, center.

Once insider Zach Jackson from the athletic is calling it, at number 6, though gravel

high I'll stay why receiver Carnell Tate to juice up the passing game.

Tate's scene as a top 15 talent ran a 4.53 in the 40 yard dash at the combine, but grabbing

him that high shows how bad they want weapons for their QBs.

If no trade partner bites to slide back, Tate it is, or they pivot to an offensive tackle

if one's the best available and mold him into a left tackle.

Later, either way, Cleveland's stacking an offense for whatever comes next.
