Browns Boost Offensive Line, Eye Draft for WR, LT

They added guard Zion Johnson and guard center Elton Jenkins, resigned Teven Jenkins and earlier traded for offensive tackle Titus Howard. With most moves done before the 2026 NFL draft on April 23rd, the Browns now eyewide receiver and left tackle as key needs. They hold two first round picks in nine total selections. In a recent three-round mock draft, Cleveland grabbed safety Caleb Downs from Ohio State at pick 6 overall, going best player available to build an elite safety group with Grand Delpit and Ronnie Hickman. Later in the first round at pick 24, they select offensive tackle Monroe Freeling from Georgia, a raw but high upside prospect at, six foot seven who could anchor left tackle long-term.
