Brothers Convicted for Rape, Justice Served

0:00On April 9th, two brothers in their 40s have finally been convicted of raping a woman after their first trial got thrown out. 43-year-old Vasile Todoran got ten years in prison for rape, kidnapping, and kidnapping with intent to commit a sexual offense. His 40-year-old brother Marius landed eight years for rape. This all went down at Kingston Crown Court following a successful appeal. The attack happened after the woman met Vasile at a Christmas event in Queensbury, Northwest London. Footage captured her being dragged by force into their rented room in Brent as she tried to fight back and escape. Back in November 2024, a judge dismissed the case, saying there was no evidence to proceed, but prosecutors and investigators pushed. Hard. That sparked an appeal to the Court of Appeal, which flipped the decision and sent it back for a full retrial. The brothers got formally charged on Friday, February 27th, 2026, leading straight to these guilty verdicts and sentences.
