Broncos Trade for Waddle, Boosting Receiving Corps

0:00On March 17th, the Denver Broncos made waves this off-season by trading with the Miami Dolphins for wide receiver Jalen Waddle. They sent over the 30th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, plus third and fourth round selections, and got back Waddle along with. A Dolphins fourth round pick, Waddle came out of Alabama as the 6th overall pick in 2021. He racked up three straight 1,000 yard receiving seasons to start his career, though the last two years dipped a bit, with 9-10-10. Yards and 6 touchdowns last season. Analyst Nick Wright from FS1 jumped on board right away. He called it a smart move for a team adding a healthy 27-year-old on a solid contract. Better value than pricey free agents, especially. Since the 30th pick isn't a top tier one, now Waddle joins Courtland Sutton and Denver's offense, pairing Sutton's size and deep threats with Waddle's speed underneath. If they stay sharp, the Broncos could boast one of the AFC's top receiving duos after nearly making the playoffs last year.
