They traded back from the number 62 pick with the Buffalo Bills to grab number 66 overall, selecting Texas A&M defensive lineman Tyler. On Yadam in Round 3, this guy's got that high floor vibe, NFL ready and versatile enough to plug right into the line and start contributing. On Yadam's arrival spells trouble for one vet on the roster, Jordan Jackson. The Broncos brought Jackson back as an exclusive rights free agent after he showed flashes last season with 17 tackles, one sack, and a forced. Fumble across 17 games, but his follow-up year was rough, just five games and seven tackles, mostly riding the bench as a healthy scratch. Now Jackson's fighting for a spot amidst stiff competition from homegrown talent like IEoma Uazurike, Syvian Jones, and even the recovering vet, Henningson. All three were drafted by GM George Patton, giving them that edge over Jackson who lacks the pedigree and recent momentum.

Meanwhile, On Yadam's a close buddy and ex teammate of Uazurike from Iowa State Days ramping up the battle for snaps. Last year, a first round corner pick lit a fire under the secondary, pushing guys to career highs. Jackson could channel that same hunger through camp, locking down his role before On Yadam fully claims it on the 53 man roster.
