Broncos Secure Tillman, Key for Defense

0:00On March 6, the Denver Broncos have locked in two defensive players by tendering contracts to exclusive rights, free agent defensive back Devon Key, and outside linebacker Dondrea Tillman. Tillman took a long road to the NFL. The 27-year-old went undrafted out of Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2019, then got picked in the third round of the 2022 UFL draft by the Birmingham Stallions. He tried out with the Ravens and Falcons, but ended up back in the UFL before signing a three-year deal worth $2,800,000. Dallas with the Broncos in June 2024. They cut him to the practice squad, promoted him in September, and now this tender keeps him around. Last season Tillman played in all 17 games, racking up 41 tackles, three tackles for loss, four sacks, two interceptions, and three. Passes defended, showing real impact on defense. With these moves, the Broncos stay strong on that side of the ball heading into the off season.
