Broncos Re-sign Ehlinger, Strengthen Roster

0:00On March 11th, the Denver Broncos have brought back quarterback Sam Ellinger on a one-year contract. He spent last season as their emergency third quarterback for much of the 2025 campaign and got elevated from the practice squad several times. Ellinger also stepped in as backup for the AFC Championship game. Though he didn't play in the regular season, he shone in preseason with a 73.7% completion rate, 415. Yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and a 98.2 rating. A 2021 6-round draft pick, Ellinger started three games for the Indianapolis Colts back in 2022 and appeared in 8. Games total over three years there. The team isn't stopping there, resigning running back JK Dobbins along with tight-ends Adam Trautman and Nate Adkins inside linebackers, Alex. Singleton and Justin Strohnad, an offensive lineman Alex Polgeski, to build more depth. These moves show the Broncos focusing on familiar faces to strengthen their roster as they gear up for another run.
