Coach Sean Payton dropped this news at the NFL's annual league meeting in Arizona earlier this week. He stressed that nothing's locked in, competition keeps everyone sharp, just like last year. From what we saw last season, Stidem looked like the clear QB2 through spring and into the playoffs with Ellinger as the third option. Turns out they were already scrapping for it back in training camp. Now there's talk of trade offers coming in for Stidem, which could hand Ellinger the gig by default if a deal goes down.
