In the first round, they grab Oregon tight-end Kenyans to Deek to add some firepower. Then in Round 2, Alabama linebacker Deonte Lawson joins the squad, followed by Florida State defensive lineman Darryl Jackson in Round 3. The tight-end pick stands out because Denver's group posted the league's worst receiving grade last season at 52.8. Wasserman sees this as a way to lift the entire offense, especially after Sudique turn heads at the NFL Combine. Lawson brings serious production from his time with the Crimson Tide, racking up nearly 300 tackles over his final four years, plus sex, and forced fumbles. He slots right into Vance Joseph's strong defensive front. Jackson, who transferred around before settling at Florida State, adds depth of front with solid tackle numbers and a few sacks in limited action.
