Broncos Land Waddle, Shake Up Offense

0:00On April 8th, the Denver Broncos finally landed a star-wide receiver with a trade for Jalen Waddle back in mid-March, shaking up their offense after. A quiet, free-agency period. Their defense carried them to a 14-win-3 loss season in the AFC Championship, but the offense stayed average, often stalling early before. Heating up late, losing running back JK Dobbins to injury mid-season, forced the pass-heavy attack under coach Sean Payton. Now with new offensive coordinator Davis Webb calling plays, things could get more balanced, especially since they resigned Dobbins. But if injuries hit again, or backup RJ Harvey does a step up, expect plenty of throws in 2026. Team owner Greg Penner praised the locker-room core, but said they jumped at the chance for a game-changer, like Waddle, calling him a gritty playmaker. With smarts and elite yards after catchability, Waddle brings three straight 1,000 yard seasons, 373 catches for 5,039 yards, and 26 touchdowns over 78 games.
