Broncos GM: No Trades, Prioritizing Receiver Depth

On April 1st, Broncos GM George Patton held a press conference Monday with owner Greg

Penner and president Demani Leech covering coaching moves, stadium plans, and roster

builds.

The big headline?

He flat out killed rumors of trading wide receivers after adding star jailed in Waddle

a few weeks back.

Patton says Denver's sticking with their stat group heading into 2026.

That depth comes from guys like third year Troy Franklin, all pro-special teamer Marvin

Mims, and even the injury prone Pat Bryant from the 2025 draft.

They also resigned Lil Jordan Humphrey on a light deal that's easy to cut if needed.

Patton's built a receiver room that's one of the league's best.

No need to thin it out now.

Fans and analysts speculated trades for more value, but Patton pushed back hard, pointing

to last season's playoff run.

When Franklin and Bryant got hurt, the Broncos leaned on Elijah Moore in the AFC Championship,
