Brewers Dominate Marlins, Win Fourth Straight

Brandon Woodruff dominated on the mound for seven innings, allowing just one run while the Brewers' bats came alive to snap an early deficit and build. A big lead. Marlins grabbed the first run in the bottom of the second on Conor Norby's single that scored Liam Hicks. Brewers answered right back in the top of the fourth when Brandon Lockridge ripped a two-out RBI single to tie it at one piece. Then came the explosion in the fifth. Bryce Tarang crushed a two-run homer to write center for a three-to-one lead thanks to a Marlins error and later added an RBI single to make it five. Two, one. Tarang finished with three RBI's on the day. Woodruff stayed sharp only throwing 71 pitches through seven before handing it off. In the ninth, closer Abner Urbay inherited bases loaded with two outs but induced grounders for a fielders' choice run in a game-ending play.
