Baseball is only a matter of days away when the Reds open Thursday against the Red Sox and Great American ballpark. And here we go with, well, I call it beachob. Well, Predominant Jones. Beachob. Predominant Jones on baseball, BJOB. But we forget sometimes the fact that people are listening for the first time.

1:03We know we have an incredible audience. People have been talking about it for weeks knowing it's coming. We have a credo that we abide by and we need for you to articulate that for the people who've never heard this show before. At the stage is yours. Well, first of all, I think it's a good idea because someone might be listening for the first time that might have moved to Cincinnati or live under a rock and not listen to this show. I think we need to start with our body of work. Marty, you broadcast the Reds games for many years. Yeah, 46. 46 and you did a fine job. Thank you. You played baseball, but you never really played at a very high level. Not play little league. I know. We've heard it many times. They've heard it for 25 years. Uh, uh, me on the other hand, and I don't mean to brag, but I played in the big leagues. And people, you have a better chance of winning the lottery than playing in the major leagues. And plus I played for five major league teams. So the point of me saying this is when I say something, you got to take notes.

2:08Remember, remember this bottom line is I see things that you people don't because I played the major leagues. Would you not agree with that? Uh, uh, 150,000 percent. I see things that you people don't. We're going to delve into that a bit when we come back on this. I debuted show before the 26 season in just a moment. I see things that you people don't. I played the game. You didn't. Can we add that to it too? Well, it's basically the same thing. It's a big deal to play in the big leagues in the career highlights. It just, it, it adds a lot to the show that I did play for five teams. And Marty, you might play it down, but think about it this way. You know, kind of like Barry Larkin, kind of a sad case. Only played for one major league team, Johnny Bench. Only played for one major league team. So what do they really experience? I've experienced National League, American League.

3:08And I think I bring a lot to the show. You would agree with that. I would. And what it does is it points up the fact that when you talk about versatility, there is no one I'd rather have sitting to my right than you. Because of your versatility and your experience with five teams. Well, and also the fact that I'm a Renaissance man. And I consider you a Renaissance man. We're very well versed and maybe we'll get into it this year. I would like to just stick to talking about baseball. I know sometimes you like to bring out other things. But we can talk about, you know, movies and dating to slump busters. Yeah, you know where I'm going. I know exactly where you're going.
