About this episode
We are heartbroken along with the rest of the world to hear the iconic Bonnie Tyler has unexpectedly passed away after getting word that her condition was improving following an emergency intestinal surgery in May. Tyler, who is best known for her Grammy nominated mega hit “Total Eclipse of the Heart” and “Footloose” anthem “I Need A Hero” died in a Portugal hospital, her family saying they would give more details surrounding her death shortly. We go over her incredible rise to fame from a pub singer in Wales, who changed her name twice before making it big, to the story behind “Total Eclipse of the Heart”, a song that was supposed to be sung by another major artist at the time, Meatloaf.
