1:01That's Goldbelly.com promo code gift. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Breaking News, I am the Breaking Newsman, Georgia, Sintelone. Minnesota Vikings have a new quarterback in Kyler Murray. Vikings obviously very much invested in this. They believe that this is their future and that they can really develop, you know, because they have the quarterback whisperer there, they can develop Kyler into the elite quarterback he was always meant to be, which is why they offered him a one year contract. Oh, it's beautiful. You know what's funny about this?

2:01It's not funny. I mean, I don't wish harm on anybody. Kyler, much like JJ, little bit injury prone. So there's a decent chance you're going to see Kyler Murray, he's going to end up getting hurt and then JJ is going to be right back in there. And you're going to see the head coach again, acting all pissy because he just hates JJ McCarthy with a passion. But Kyler Murray played five games this last year, 962 yards, six touchdowns, three interceptions of 69.5 passing grade, 2.3 percent big time throw rate, which is pretty low, 1.4 percent turnover worthy play rate, which is also very low. So pretty cautious with the football overall. The year prior in 2024, it looks like he played pretty much a full season here, greater doubt fairly well, although it's a little bit deceiving because only one, two, three, four, five, six of his games had a 70 or higher grade.

3:02It was more so that his bad games were not really that bad. So it's like pretty much an entire season of average. And then you stack on six games, including three that are really good. One that is really, really, really, really, really good against L.A. And you end up with a 78 grade. That was kind of peak Kyler right there. The passing was good and the rushing was good. The only other year that was similar would have been 2020. But you go back to 2023 again, he was hurt. He missed the first half of the season, 2022. He missed the second portion of the season, those kind of ran concurrent. So not a ton of completely full seasons. In fact, over the last four years, there was one and that was 2024 again. He looked good in 2024. So you get him back to that creative play calling, et cetera, et cetera. He got a really elite quarterback, blah, blah, blah, maybe, maybe it's kind of good. I don't know.

4:02They're going to have to overcome some challenges. They've done it before. I mean, what was it two years ago? The Vikings were supposed to be the worst team in football and they end up being very good. And then we thought maybe they'd be good again and they were awful. But so far, Packers are two and no against Kyler Murray. There was the nail bider with Resul Douglas, but that was still a win. The only other game was a 34 to 13 win in Lambo field. So again, I'm not, you know, I'm not massively terrified of Kyler Murray, but we shall see. Anyhoo, stay tuned for more breaking news.
