It's April 30th. Welcome in. This is MLB News Today, where the game meets AI. I'm Corey with the story. The Cincinnati Reds just put Lefty Starter Brandon Williamson on the 15-day injured list with left shoulder fatigue after an MRI check-on. Thursday. He got yanked after three innings and Wednesday's blowout loss to the Colorado Rockies, where he gave up four runs on four hits, plus four walks, and four strikeouts. This 28-year-old is sitting at two wins and three losses, with a 6.11 ERA over six starts this season, coming off elbow surgery. That wiped out all of last year back in September, 2024. Manager Terry Francoin have figured some bumps were coming since Williamson earned his spot in spring training when another lefty, Nick Lidolo, hit the I.L. Early. The Reds are still crushing it at 19-11. Their best 30-game start since 2006, despite missing Hunter Green and Lidolo. While Andrew Abbott deals with his own 6.59 ERA, Green's eyeing a July return, Lidolo
needs one more rehab outing, and they called up Zach Maxwell from AAA to help shuffle the rotation. Plenty of pieces in motion to keep this hot street rolling.
