Boy, 13, Killed in Car Crash; Driver Charged

0:00On April 6th, a 13-year-old boy named Noah Campbell lost his life in a tragic crash in Flitwick, Beffordshire last Friday night. It involved the BMW car, a bike, and a scooter, leaving two other teamboys with serious injuries. The driver, 24-year-old Jamie Fountain and his 23-year-old passenger Ellie Ireland, faced court today on serious charges. Fountain, a ground worker from Flitwick, got hit with causing deaths by careless driving, plus doing it over the legal limit for booze and drugs. He also faces counts for causing serious injury to the other boys, failing to stop or report the crash, and conspiring to pervert justice. Ireland, an easy-jet cabin crew member from nearby Amphill, is charged with that conspiracy count, too. Noah's family shared a heartbreaking tribute through police, calling him a fun, bright, handsome, athletic kid who everybody loved. They said he lived for time with friends and family, and now his death has left an irreplaceable void. One of the injured boys is still in hospital and serious condition.

Both were remanded in custody, and they'll head to Luton Crown Court on the morning of May 5th for the next step.
