Boston Scott Retires After NFL Career

Boston Scott, the former Philadelphia Eagles running back, announced his retirement this week after seven seasons in the National Football League. The Louisiana native from Zachary played College Ball at Louisiana Tech and got picked by the New Orleans Saints in the sixth round of the two, 1,018 draft. The Saints waved him that summer, and the Eagles quickly claimed him off waivers. Scott spent his whole career there, suiting up for 75 regular season games and eight playoff contests. He racked up 1,295 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns plus 71 catches for 566 yards and one more score. Fans loved his tough style, especially against the nearer giants where he scored 10 of his touchdowns despite standing just five foot six. He even earned a Super Bowl ring from the 2018 practice squad.
