Boston College's Comeback Win Over Notre Dame

0:00On March 7, Boston College pulled off a big comeback win over Notre Dame, 77-69 on the final day of the ACC regular season. Fred Payne led the Eagles with 24 points in the victory. The Eagles trailed for most of the game but sparked an 11-0 run late in the second half to take a 61-53 lead with 5, and a half minutes left. They stretched it to 9 points and sealed it with 7 free throws in the last minute, shooting 31 out of 41 from the line overall. This result puts Boston College, now 11-20 overall, and 4-14 in the ACC in line to grab 15th place. They hold the tiebreaker over Pittsburgh, so if Pitt loses to Syracuse later today, the Eagles snagged the spot. Notre Dame finishes 13-18, also 4-14 in conference play, but tiebreakers knocked them out of the 15-Team ACC, Tournament. Meanwhile, other Eagles by Chase Forte with 14 points, Jaden Hastings with 12 and Bowden cop-K with 11 stepped up while Notre Dame's.
