Borough Vetoes Data Center Partnership, Assembly to Decide

A Matt Sue Burrow plans a partner with a private company on marketing land for a data center or high tech facility hit a snag last week. Burrow Mayor Edna DeVries vetoed a resolution that would have directed staff to help Terry Energy Center Corp, find investors and developers. The sites include areas near Big Lake, Port McKenzie, and the plan west of Sitna Access Road. This comes after the assembly approved the measure five to two on March 2nd. The two-year marketing effort set to start in April would use burrow resources but not commit to any land deals.
