On March 1st, here's the latest out of Lester. Alton Towers has set the opening date for its new Bluey rollercoaster. The ride, called Bluey the Ride, here come the grannies, will launch on March 28th at the Staffordshire Theme Park. It draws from a popular episode of the hit kids show where Bluey and her sister Bingo dress up as cheeky grannies named Janet in Rita. To build excitement, the park unveiled a huge portrait of Bluey made from more than 11,000 tens of beans. This artwork measures 20 by 15 meters and took 18 hours to put together. It now sits on the lawn next to CBB's land where the ride is located and ties right into the episode's fun bean slipping antics. Fans of the Emmy-winning series are thrilled as the granny's story is a big favorite with families. Park officials say the bean portrait captures Bluey's playful spirit perfectly and counts down to the big debut. The coaster is designed especially for preschoolers and young kids taking them on a backyard adventure.
It joins other bluey spots like character meet and greet with the whole family and a live show. This timing lines up great with Easter holidays when families head to the park. Plus, new bluey themed rooms are coming to the CBB's land hotel for overnight stays. This episode is brought to you in partnership with our sponsor.
