🚨 Montenegro's Justice Minister Bojan Božović has approved Terraform Labs founder Do Kwon's extradition to the U.S. to face criminal charges related to the 2022 collapse of the Terra/Luna stablecoin system. Both the U.S. and South Korea had sought Kwon's extradition, but the decision followed Montenegro's Supreme Court ruling in favour of the U.S. request. Kwon, arrested in Montenegro in 2023 for passport forgery, has contested his extradition for over a year. Meanwhile, in the U.S., the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission recently settled over LUNA-related violations with Jump Crypto’s subsidiary, Tai Mo Shan, with a $123 million settlement.
‼️Bitwise Inc has filed for approval to launch the Bitcoin Standard Corporations ETF, designed to track companies holding over 1,000 BTC as a reserve asset. The fund aims to provide investors exposure to major BTC-holding companies like MicroStrategy, Marathon, and Tesla without directly owning individual stocks. The ETF would invest at least 80% of its assets in these companies. While limited by the small number of firms meeting the criteria, this move reflects the growing interest in corporate BTC adoption. Competitor Strive recently filed a similar proposal, emphasizing Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation and global economic challenges.
