🚨The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Crypto Task Force hosted a roundtable on May 12, 2025, titled “Tokenisation — Moving Assets Onchain: Where TradFi and DeFi Meet”, at SEC HQ in Washington, D.C. (1–5:30 p.m. ET). The event was open to the public and webcast live at www.sec.gov
- Commissioner Hester Peirce, who led the initiative, emphasised tokenisation’s potential to reshape financial markets. The agenda included:
- Panel 1: Capital Markets 2.0
- Panel 2: The Future of Tokenisation
Also, the DeFi-focused roundtable titled “DeFi and the American Spirit” is now rescheduled to June 9 (previously June 6). Existing registrations are valid for the new date.
