On April 25th, Blackpool's gearing up to host Layton Orion in League 1 action and the head-to-head stats just flipped a switch. They've dropped three of their last four-day clashes with Orion, including a draw after only losing four out of 24 meetings from January, 1974 through August 2023. Earlier this season, Orion pulled off a rare-way win here, 2-1, but that's their lone victory in the last 17-row league games against. Blackpool, where they've drawn six in lost ten. They've never strung together back-to-back away triumphs over Blackpool since 2-1-0 wins in September 1927 in February 1929. Blackpool's riding high at Bloomfield Road, winning their last four-home league matches straight. That streaks their best since six-in-a-row from April to September 2017. Meanwhile, Orion's attack has gone cold, blinking out in four of their last six-league games since March 28th. The AFC Wimbledon has more shutouts with five in League 1 this term.

All eyes on whether Blackpool's home fire keeps burning or Orion sparks back to life should make for a tense one at the seaside.
