Birmingham Unites: Send Relief Serve Tour

0:00On March 16th, here's the latest out of Birmingham. Birmingham paints two very different pictures, depending on where you live. In the city center, poverty hits about 25%, well above the national average of 11.1%. Just miles away in the suburbs, that number drops to around 7%, creating a real divide between stable neighborhoods and areas facing tough, economic challenges. Many folks in quieter areas can feel insulated from those struggles, missing the daily realities of food insecurity and lack of shelter nearby. Local leaders point out how easy it is to overlook neighbors in need when your own community feels secure. Churches and ministries are working to change that through personal outreach. One example involves stepping in for a woman with no support system, helping her give back on her feet and turning her skepticism into real gratitude. Now, a big push is coming with the send relief serve tour, hitting Birmingham on March 20th and 21st. Most of volunteers will tackle projects like mobile dental care, community meals, and
