St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner in Birmingham, with the popular 5-point South celebration drawing crowds for Irish fun. Local pubs are gearing up with Guinness on-tap at spots like Forty-first Street pub in Crestwood South, the garage in 5-point South, Paramount Inn, Downtown in Homewood, and the Red Shamrock in Inverness. Several places offer classic pub food to pair with your drinks, including Shepherd's Pie, Fish and Ships, and Corn Beef at Carrigan's Public House. On 3rd Avenue North, the Anvil in Crestwood, and Big Whiskeys at 3-area locations. Fun events are popping up too, like Irish Flash tattoos and theme karaoke days pub on 20th Street South this Saturday, March 14, starting at 11am.
