Birmingham's Spring Festival: Fun for All

0:00Birmingham is kicking off spring with his very first city-wide spring festival. The free family event happens March 29th from 1 to 4 p.m. at Real Road Park. It's designed to bring folks together for some outdoor fun right in the heart of the city. Expect a lineup of kid-friendly activities including an Easter egg scavenger hunt, a live DJ spinning tunes, food trucks for snacks, face painting, balloon artists, and photo ops with Buddy the Bunny. There will even be a clown and stilt walker from Universal Circus to keep the energy high. Local partners are jumping in too. With booths from the Birmingham Legion Soccer Team, McWayne Science Center, City Parks and Rec, and others. This setup lets families connect with community groups while enjoying the day, plan ahead for road closures around the park. First Avenue South between 14th Street South and 18th Street South shuts down starting 11 p.m. on March 28th, so give yourself extra time to get there.
