Birmingham Man Charged with Fentanyl Distribution

A Birmingham man named Kenneth Harris is now hit with state and federal charges for

dealing fentanyl after cops found 200 grams of it stashed in the wheel of a busted car

on his property.

Investigators have been watching him for months, suspecting he was moving big quantities

around Birmingham and beyond, so they sin in a confidential source who bought fentanyl

from him twice.

Since in December 2025, and again, in January 2026, that led to a search warrant on January

16th at his place on Fulton Avenue, Southwest, where they also grabbed a handgun, seven mobile

phones, and, some scales, all pointing to series distribution.

Harris faces Alabama charges like trafficking the drug, possessing paraphernalia, and being

forbidden from having a pistol he's been locked up in.

Jefferson County Jail since January.

Federal court jumped in on April 2nd with a complaint for possession intending to distribute

over 40 grams, and even after his state bond got lowered.

Officials worry he's a flight risk, so the case keeps rolling with eyes on him staying

put.
