Birmingham Man Arrested for Robbery, Assault

A 34-year-old Birmingham man named Corey Washington faces charges of second-degree assault and first-degree robbery after his recent arrest. Police say he robbed a spot in the 200 block of Oporto Madrid Boulevard on March 14. Officers from the Birmingham Police Department's Special Enforcement Teams move fast to track him down. Just five days later, on March 19, they nabbed Washington in the 2,900 block of Center Point Parkway. He's now held at Jefferson County Jail as the case moves forward.
