Birds Aren’t Real – EP 145

About this episode

http://www.patreon.com/theconspiracypodcast

What if we told you that birds don’t exist? That they’ve all been replaced by government surveillance drones recharging on power lines and pooping tracking devices on your car? Welcome to the wonderfully absurd world of Birds Aren’t Real—a satirical conspiracy movement that somehow became a cultural phenomenon.

In this episode, we trace the strange and hilarious rise of a prank-turned-parody that began on a whim at a 2017 protest in Memphis, when college student Peter McIndoe held up a sign that simply read: “Birds Aren’t Real.” What followed was an elaborate, years-long performance complete with fake whistleblowers, billboard campaigns, cross-country rallies, and a dedicated fanbase of “bird truthers”—most of whom were entirely in on the joke.

Through a mix of storytelling and real-world absurdity, we explore how the movement became a Gen Z coping mechanism for living in a post-truth world. From vomit stunts on live TV to NFL players parroting the slogans, this story isn’t really about birds—it’s about satire, misinformation, and laughing our way through the madness.

Get ready for CIA pigeons, power-line charging ports, and a dive into one of the internet’s most brilliantly ridiculous conspiracies. Because sometimes, the only sane response to an insane world… is pretending birds aren’t real.

And we're going to try to keep that trend if not more going, because we want to get back to the patrons because you guys are the lightblood of this organization. So there you go. What do we got on the day? Biggie. Okay. So this is kind of a strange one. I do. I love this one. It's a French. It's French. It's French.

It's French. It's French as fuck. And that's fuck. But we, I don't know about the, I don't know how many people are searching for this. No, I may promise to nobody. Yes. This might be a, we are the only one searching. This might be a low listen to episode. It's kind of like, like six, six downloads. Yeah. First, uh, this is birds are fake. Just saying it. You can't say that with a street face. I know. It's so stupid. But I kind of like it. Yeah. Uh, do you, do you have any, do you have any skin in this game already? Not really, cause I, like, I mean, pigeons are weird. There's, there's, there's, there's, there's weird. So my wife brought up, my, my brother set to me. The thing was two days ago. And she was like, have you ever seen a baby pigeon? Yeah. Exactly. Oh, yeah. And I was like, well, of course I've been to, I've seen a mess. She's like, not even in the nest. Like, have you ever seen a picture of a baby pigeon? And I was like, no, that's a good point. I've never,

I've never seen a picture of a baby pigeon. No, they're born adult. That doesn't work that way. They're born on a cake. No. of an egg and a doll. Yeah, literally. Is it like an ostrich egg? How big is a fucking egg egg? Birds. Well, what do you mean? Well, yeah, it's it's called science. What do you mean? Birds are born. I don't know enough about these birds to talk about. All birds are born from eggs. We're gonna get into today. I think they're just born. And they don't look like an adult. They're born like 40. They're born out of an egg, but you know, it's like the pelicans. They're just born. Yeah, this is born now. They're born with like a mustache and a receding hairline. Like literally they're born like on Medicaid. Well, if it flies, it spies. And that's the quote from a crowd chanting on a sunny afternoon in Hollywood. If it flies, it spies. Okay. Hundreds of young people march with their tongue and

cheek fury, hoisting signs that read birds are not real. There wasn't. Okay. Wait, you're telling me there was a protest. There was a protest about birds, but not about Epstein. You mean to tell me that hundreds of whatever the fuck these people are? Hollywood. Oh, that makes sense. Leading the charge is a wide-eyed young man with a megaphone in a cowboy hat. His voice booms with outrage. CNN. He prompts pro bird. The pro testers holler back. It's a scene that feels like a sketch comedy bit. Yet the energy is real. Strangers on the sidewalk pause. Half confused, but half amused as the rally thunders by.

Everybody seems to be in on a joke. Is it a joke? In an age when wild conspiracy theories. I can't even look at you. In an age when wild conspiracy theories have become common and actually factual, a movement declaring that birds are government drones has somehow taken hold. It's okay. I'll let you. I'm sorry. I'll let you finish. I'm like. So that's the conspiracy. It's it's that all birds. All birds. All birds. All birds. Yeah. Our drones. I mean, I'm just I'm sorry, but like a brother. Like what are you doing? That's so important that they need to like spend that much fucking capital on a goddamn a parican falcon to fucking watch your fucking ass. Oh, you know, it's funny. It's funny. Bring it up because like the other day, like, I forget who was saying something like,

you know, aren't you worried about, you know, them? I think we were talking about the Pegasus program and like looking into your phone. Yeah. And I was like, bro, my shit's not that internet. It's not there's not a lot of information that you gotta like my history. They're like, whatever. Yeah, like he's got a strange fascination with Sydney, sweetie. That's about it. That's about it. The keyword bathwater. 59 times. I love it. Like soap. So many. So many shampoo. It's never ending quizzes about who's hotter and a day armist. Or I mean, that's such a tough question. It's it's like, it's a debate. That is like, I know. That might be the pinnacle of the watch. The 007 movie that she did. That was her first movie. On to she. She's wearing this like, did I watch? I was on a flight. Well, at last, I went to England and I watched a ballerina. Oh, really? That was it. I was good. It was not bad.

I mean, it was the worst of the worst. It was the worst of the wicks for a shirt. Yeah. And like, but she put in the time. No, but she was good. And then John, my cousin, which was the best part of the movie. That's why I was teaching the only good part of the movie. How much was he in it? Like just like a 10 minute thing. I mean, it was probably like 18 minutes total. Okay. And he's literally just like beating her and she's like, please stop. And she's like, no, and he's like, just stop it. Like, you can't beat me. Like, stop. But she's she's so fucking hot. I told my wife that I was like, endure it. That's your type. Because my wife is like, born hair blue eyes. And I'm like, no, it's I'm like, I can agree that like Chris Emsworth and Idris Alba are all like beautiful men. Like, why can't I just like use a green? That's just beautiful. Like Jason, anyways, we're talking about birds. Yeah. Sorry. Speaking of birds. I think it's I think it's funny that they're like, okay, birds, birds are fake their drones. But I'm like, you have a literal super computer that's filming you and listening

to you all the time. That's not the issue. Yeah. The issue is the bird. Yeah. Exactly. Although drone technology has come up quite far, quite far. Yeah. The origin of birds aren't real reads like Gen Z folklore. It all began on a whim in 2017 in Memphis, Tennessee, Peter McIndo, a 20-year-old college student found himself amid the fervor of a woman's march. Okay. Just one day after Trump was inaugurated for the first time. Well, the first time that and tensions in the streets were high. Protesters carried serious messages and a few counter protesters lingered at the margins. Feeling mischievous, McIndo, scrawled three words on a poster board. Birds aren't real. So he did as a fucking joke. He was just fucking around. He says he says it was a spur of the moment. You don't love this guy. This guy is a legend. He quote said, I just thought I should write a

sign that has nothing to do with what's happening in this protest. This guy is a legit legend. I'm actually I'm on board. I mean, he's right. When curious counter protesters asked what his assignment, McIndo didn't miss a beat. On the spot, he made up an entire conspiracy theory based on his board. He's like, he does all in. Yeah. He claimed to be part of a secret movement back in the 1970s. One that tried and failed to say, how old is this fucking guy? He's 20. But he said, how was he part of a secret? He said it up. Yeah. They can't do basic math. He's like 1970s. He's like 12 years, like 26 years ago. I was bored. I know. Look, but I can have a beer with this guy. Dude, I I would happily buy this guy. So he claimed that he was part of a secret movement dating back to the 1970s. One that tried and failed to save the country's birds. In his impromptu tale, the deep state had wiped out all

birds and he replaced and they replaced the birds with flying surveillance drones. Then they were disguised as birds. Little did they know the American people created blinds. No, this is what he told protesters straight face is what he said. Every bird you see is actually a tiny feathered robot watching you. Do you understand the CapEx cost? What is it like human perspective terms? Like the sheer cost to do like, Kimette, could you fucking imagine like the government stuff? The trillions of times more expensive. Oh, yeah. This was so impalenteer comes in. Oh yeah. No, like the largest government contract

in the history of mankind. So protesters and counter protesters listened in earnest looking at this young man who was warning that the government had engineered the genocide of birds. And then that flocks of spy drones were now perched on power lines to recharge as how they ambient power on the lines. So you see how you see all the birds on the power lines just perched up there? Yeah. They're recharging. Well, the bird. Okay. So come in this conception. All right. So there's different there's different grades of power lines. No, there is. So so there's transmission lines, which are like the big the big towers. The big towers are like the the big tall ones are called they're called T lines transmission lines.

All right. The triple braided. They're huge. And they're those are the ones that you hear like when you hear like the like those are coming straight from the power plants and those are transmitting like high like high levels of energy. And those are the ones that are shitting off the shitting off energy. So birds are on distribution lines distribution lines. So what happens is that birds yeah the birds are perched on the power line. That's how I like those are more like the that's a neighborhood. It's called a distribution line. So what happens is like the power from the T lines goes to a trance goes to like a substation which dumps the power down to like normal levels and then that gets distributed on like the power lines that are in your neighborhood which goes to your transformer and then makes into 240 which goes into your house. Okay. Like those lines aren't shitting energy off. Yeah. The my wife's telling me to land the plane. Right. Show me land the bird land the drone. No, some saying like you could touch on

those lines and you wouldn't be fine. So something like that. Oh yeah. So that's what you're saying you're adding a many context. Yeah. Oh, they're recharging. If a fucking bird touched the T line, it would explode. It would literally know that it would literally blow up. You'd be fine if you touched those. I didn't know that. I don't know. Yes. I'm not going to touch that. I'm not going to touch that out. Nobody listening. Don't. I'm not. This is not. No, this is not. I'm not telling you to do it. I'm just telling you the science to do it. And if you wanted to do it, you could do it. Damn it. Am I going to fucking suit for this? Yeah, you're good. And you're going to get hate comments. So I always get hate. McInto's friends watched an astonishment as he stayed in character and he shouted the following wake up America birds are fake. They're a myth. They're an illusion. Thank you for your time. I love it. He'd be like a speech and it's like

for his gum. He's like, that's all I got to say about that. This is the world. This is the might be the world's greatest experience. The birds aren't real clip from Memphis because it went viral. It struck a nerve online. As the video continued to expand, Memphis became ground zero for birds are fake. Ground zero. It's like the fucking crusades. As things progressed, McInto started seeing the phrase, Scrawled in graffiti and chalk on walls and teenagers at high schools began shouting, birds aren't real at football games. Social media accounts bearing the name popped up as fan accounts, Instagram, TikTok, hundreds of thousands of followers to quote-unquote official. Birds aren't real accounts popped up. We also got hundreds of thousands of not millions of followers on the flat earth theory. We should make a bird's, birds aren't real

coin. Like fake, fake bird going. I might wear a t-shirt. This is birds. I was making it to the merch store. I would bet. You know what? We're going to tell camera Dave to add it. I want I actual I'll buy one. I'll buy one. I'll legit buy one. I promise. So the question though is what made this bizarre idea resonate? In part, it was just a realistic enough parody to real conspiracies. So this is almost like a conspiracy within the conspiracy within the conspiracy. Yeah. Almost like a satire of him being at the protest. This is like this is a conspiracy inception. On Reddit as of 2022, 2022. So this is years ago. Yeah. There are 360,000 subscribers to the thread. Birds aren't real. Okay, maybe maybe there's an untapped market here. We're about to get our highest. This might be the greatest. Honestly, we're going to get we're going to get tons of

bad reviews saying that we didn't give them a chance. Yeah. Oh, remember the flatter. Yes. We didn't give them a chance. All right. We're going to start taking this. Yeah, we're going to be serious. Come on, serious. I can't. I'm sorry. Like fuck, I can't do it. The continue, please, though. As one teenager explained, teenagers understand it. They don't need footnotes. I'm okay. I don't even know what to say. What does that even mean? What kind of like weird, like, fucking, what is that even? What? Teenagers don't understand it. They don't need foot. What? Meanwhile, Mackendo leaned into the absurdity. Sensing he tapped into something big, he decided to drop out of college and see how far his bird joke could fly. His parents were baffled and they begged him. They begged him to reenroll and finish his degree. But he saw birds

aren't real as art imitating life in the post-truth era. And he said, it could be a very interesting art project, a mirror to the exponentially growing absurdity of America. Okay. What is this guy? Is he a fucking philosopher? What is he talking about? I think where he's going with this car if I'm wrong. Live and be there. That's a Louise. Correct me if I'm wrong. At this point, conspiracy theorists had a bad name. None of this stuff was coming true yet. And so he thinks this is going to give them a good name. This is the ant. No, no, it's the ant. It's the satire of it. So insane that like he's seeing how many millions of followers he can get on something absurd. Oh, it's just like his own like individual style. Yes. Yes. So Macando recruited a few like-minded friends and they got to work building the lore. If birds aren't real, was going to be a

proper conspiracy. It needed a backstory. It needed evidence. Quote unquote, Macando enlisted his buddy Connor Gatos, a history buff as a chief mythology maker. Together, they cooked up a delightfully ludicrous official story for the history. According to their lore, the CIA had grown so annoyed by birds. Specifically, they're enragedment of pooping on windshields. That the agency decided to exterminate 12 billion birds. You know what? I feel that. I feel I feel that so hard. Those fucking assholes. Shit all over. How do they make the bird? How do I make the robot birds still shit in the hole? Yeah, we got the hole. They created a whole backstory. They had no, they dropped out of school to do this. So they really worked it out.

Okay. So the CIA had grown so annoyed by birds. They're pooping habits. The agency decided to exterminate 12 billion birds and replace them with surveillance robots. Genius. The bird genocide supposedly began under Eisenhower in the 50s and was completed by 2001. Birds aren't reels, creative team gleefully sprinkled the narrative with just enough familiar beats from actual conspiracy lore, secret CIA programs, deep states, et cetera, to give it some sort of authenticity. Legitimacy. They even produce fake classified documents and staged an ex-CIA whistleblower testimony in order to support it. Oh my god. In 2019, Mackendo hired an actor and he called it the oldest, most world weary man he could find to portray Eugene Price,

a retired agent spilling government secrets. And in a video titled The Confession of Eugene Price, the gravely voiced agent described bearing evidence of the great bird cover-up. No big deal. It now has 10 million views on TikTok alone. Like, see, this is, see, this is Sean's getting more and more depressed. This is the problem. Like, these are the people that we make famous. Like, this is, this is literally, like, maybe this guy is a genius. Like, this guy actually, this might, this guy might just be a genius. What the hell are you talking about? Because we're also dumb. They, like, bought into this fucking psychosis. And like, now he's like 10 million, 10 million views on some bullshit. A 2019 billboard in Memphis. I mean, hold on. We got, we got like, five million views on like

some Titanic water. Listen, all right. That was your accidental genius. And there was like 30 million. It was like 30 million. Jorge posted that I was like, okay, sure. And then we're like, this is our highest viewed video ever. Literally 30 million views on someone putting their hand in cold Titanic water. Yeah. So watch it. Go watch it. It was a couple more views. So in 2019, a billboard in Memphis touted birds aren't real. All they actually paint. Yeah, all it said on the billboard was birds aren't real. And it provided a perfect selfie backdrop for those in the joke. So the movement, then took like it became bigger. And there then became billboards in Tennessee, California, came by order, et cetera. And by 2019, the satire it spilled from the internet into the world

where in Memphis, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, et cetera, all these billboards just declared nothing else, but birds aren't real. And they were kind of like selfie spots. So then people would come and take a little selfie and, you know, there you go. Then it's like engineered variety, virality, virality. Yeah, I mean, I really fear for like the education system in our state, Jesus Christ. It went even further, merchandise exploded. Merch. Merch. Merch. Merch exploded. T-shirts, hats, all sorts of things. And I, yeah, I don't even know what I mean, I want to steal the idea. We needed, we need to add this to our merch for sure. Dogs aren't real. Yeah. They're fucking their little robots.

Their spies. Their robot spies inside your home. They're sleeping in your bed and shit. Yeah, they made the levy. They look in like they shit all over the place. They fucking eat all your food. The shit's not real though. No, it's just not real. Like all the like fucking my dog Harvey, he just ate my daughter's fucking pretzels and shit and ripped up the bag. It was totally not legit. It's all part of the scam. Just in your mind, Sean. He's imagining what had started as a lone prank was now a movement with the life of its own. They created a team called the Bird Brigade. The Bird Brigade. The Bird Brigade. Brigade. And it was an activist network called the Bird Brigade. What do you keep saying Brigade? Brigade. Sorry. The Bird Brigade. The aesthetic was purposely DIY and like a little crappy like poorly photoshopped.

Like just low. It's like you gotta like fucking, you gotta like home goods and get some like some some paper and you're like right on it. Like pretty soon there were real life rallies. And Mackendo bought a beat up van for $2,000 and he nicknamed it the Duchess. And on the sides, he painted pigeons or liars. I like this guy. This guy sounds like Jeffrey Dahmer. He's like starting a weird religion. It's starting to get traction. So he's like, oh, shit, I can't stop now. He's like, how do I monetize? At one of these rallies, he said the following. He stood up and he said, and I quote, all birds in the United States were killed by the government and replaced by fed rolled drones. Bird sit on power lines. We believe they're charging on power lines.

Bird poop on cars is liquid tracking apparatus. Liquid tracking apparatus. Damn it. Water washes it away. No. City by city, the tongue and cheek tour rolled on in San Francisco, a band of bird truthers gathered outside outside. Twitter's headquarters headquarters to demand the company changes bird logo. Bird true this. Cancel these. Having a pick it. A conspiracy. What the fuck? Oh, man. Bird truthers. Oh, my God. This is all continuing, please. Of course, not everybody got the joke. Mackendo's dedication to character sometimes fooled some people. He would do local radio interviews in full conspiracy mode, somberly describing the tragic bird genocide, which some radio hosts were not sure how to

respond. They would just be like, oh, that's horrible. I just saw a bird like today. But he kept it. He kept in character and he just said just so you know, you're being watched. They want mass control. Stay woke. Stay woke. Stay woke, bros. Oh, my God. This is insane. Oh, my God. This is insane. Okay, we're doing this. After four years of elaborate. Hoax. Hoax or whatever. This madness. He finally decided to step out of character. By late 2021, especially online, he really appeared as himself in the media, almost like he became a character. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like a persona, a barat. Or like exactly. Yeah. Yeah. Sush Bear come and like created the character that he would become.

And he said, real birds are not real. Yeah. I'm not trying to. He said, real conspiracy theorists will approach me like I'm their brother. We'll start spouting out hateful rhetoric and racist ideas because they feel I'm safe. And in other words, some folks didn't see the joke. And I guess that is like his whole plan was like this whole creation. It's literally just like Borat. Yeah. It's like you're just creating this thing. Reality. This thing that's insane. But it's like funny to you and to others because you know how insane it is. But then people think you're like for real. Yeah. And then you just keep it going. Yeah. And then you just like perpetuate the life forever. Yeah. Monster Energy. Everybody knows white monster. Zero ultra. That's the OG. It kicked off this whole zero sugar energy drink thing. But ultra is a whole line. I'm now. You've got strawberry

dreams, blue Hawaiian, sunrise, and vice guava. And they all bring the monster energy punch. So if you've been living in the white can branch out. Ultras got a flavor for every five. And every single one is zero sugar. Tap the banner to learn more. Early birds always rise to the occasion for summer vacation planning because early gets you closer to the action. So don't be late. Book your next vacation early on Verbo and save over $120. Rise and shine. Ever savings $141 select homes only. And there's some more stories that are involved in here. But you know, to be honest. I hate it. It's I don't hate it. I think it's hilarious. It's hilarious. It's hilarious. It's actually hilarious. It's really funny. I mean, there's a couple there's just a couple points. Like a couple points that just that are so hard to circumvent. Yeah. It is like a the sheer waste of money

that it would take time and time to manufacture billions of birds. And then how to and then program them to all like magically fly around and then like eat and shit and but they're fake shit, but it's real shit, but it's fake. Yeah. But it's a tracking shit. But also it's like, oh, we're going to track you. But when you're in your home, we're kind of shit on a lot. Hunt and then you eat them. The quail. They're just drones. Turkey. Yeah. No, I mean, ostrich. Yeah. But but the point of all of this is obviously to go that I mean at this time was to go conspiracies are going too far. Yeah. That's the joke, right? I see that was like his joke. That's his intention. Yes. Yeah. For sure. And it's also it's like, okay, cool. Like you'd have birds is tracking things, but you have a literal device that you carry with you at all times. That's tracking your location with your permission. Yeah. That's listening to you looking at you.

And literally recording all of your written and voice communication. Yeah. That is real. That's with you. That you literally that's never leaves your side. Yeah. Ever. Yeah. It's basically your digital you. Yeah. Yeah. They need birds to check it. They need birds to keep an eye. Yeah. It's a so it's so insane. But he says and I quote Mac and Doe he says it's taking this concept of misinformation and building a little safe space to come together within it and laugh at it rather than be scared about it. I think he had a great idea. Like it is a great social experiment. Yeah. To like it's like fun. But then like I thought he kept taking it too far. Like he he was perpetuating like instead of being like don't you guys see how funny this is? Like it's a joke. Yeah. He wasn't trying to make it real. Right. And I think he was doing a cash grab, which is like he was doing like a little pump and dump on his own.

Yeah. Pump and dump. A little pump and pump in it. So I think that like in a sense, do I think the concept is insane? No. Do I think they they probably use some sort of technology like that on a very small, very minute scale, but 100%. But against just the population, did general citizens know? I'm talking about like in like Iraq and like I ran like they're like, oh, it's a pigeon. Don't look at me. And it's like it's a panic. There's like like a like fucking C4 in it. Like the blow up the fucking house. Like you know, sure. I mean, I think we have like videos that are like small Chinese Chinese. Yeah. But then terms of like on a on a massive scale where they genocide it all the birds. And dude, I was in bro. I literally watched two pigeons. Fuck. And it was it was the skate. It was the weirdest thing I've ever seen. I like a real life. I was in I was on my honeymoon. And I was this is great. This is new.

I was in Barcelona. And then we're at a sort of like bus stop waiting to go to like Gaudi Park. And there's like a pigeon there. And another pigeon flies down. And I'm like, okay, like what's happening? And like the one like looks at it. It's like walking around in circles around this other page. And I'm like, this is interesting. And then it fucking jumps on top of it. It's like, she and I'm like, oh my god. What's happening? And then it like flies away. And I was like, did they just fuck like did this? They just fucked like this. Yeah. Yeah. And they're going to need like flew away like 15 seconds. But he bailed like the dude like bailed out. I was like, it's not my kid. Fuck off. Yeah. It's like dead. I was like, oh my god. No, but it just no, I get we get. Everyone knows his bullshit. But but I guess the question though is that is there a point of like he he's making fun of the conspiracies. Yeah. Yes. So like maybe we are retaking them too far. No, but I think he probably he probably probably probably

probably also at that time, all the also at that time. None of like nowadays, I kind of can see again. What was it here? 2017. Yes. You know, but I kind of consider nowadays a little bit of the age of conspiracy theorists because a lot of it has to come true. Yes. For sure. You know, we have we have a lot of episodes. If you guys follow us, a lot of our episodes have actually come true. Well, or or there's some. Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah. Like things are coming. I think that he coming to light. I think that he probably had a good idea like probably saying that like some conspiracy conspiracy theories are so not rooted like logical. Yeah. Anything that is like even remotely plausible or like realistic. Fear written. And it's also like he's probably trying to prove you can convince people of anything. You can make it out. I think anything. Whereas most can like the conspiracy is that I subscribe to or ones that logically wouldn't make sense. And there's like a purpose behind it.

And that purpose makes sense. And yes, like we don't want to we don't want to believe that our fellow man could be capable of such. Yeah. Cruel. Dastardly needs. Yeah. Yeah. You know, or we want to believe that aliens. Well, I mean, but but if you look at. No, but if you look at it from an actual from a statistical probability of there being aliens, it is 100% 100. Okay, Eric from the statistical probability of the other life in the universe. It is 100%. Yeah. Yeah. 100. Yeah. I'm with you. Like it is 1000%. Do you realize how infinitesimally small the earth is in the grand scale of the universe? It is the small. It's we are a grain of sand in a beach that's the size of our galaxy and all of the beaches. That's the size of our galaxy. Yeah. You know, we and it's a grain of sand. If you guys don't know, uh, we spent about like six

hours on this. We're about to spend an hour. Yeah. But Eric. Four times. I actually consider it one of our better best our best episodes. If you go back, we're going to go the pyramids. I really think we did a good job and I love the five hours, I think. Yeah. It's about that. So, so I just want to touch on one thing that Sean was talking about or maybe you mentioned, I don't know, but the cash grab thing. Oh, 100%. Okay. Full cash grab. He just happened to come out with a book in 2024. Like not even that long. So, you know, yeah. Really? It's called the bird or birds a real or or some shit or yeah, I think that's the name of the title. Anyways. All right. So it's a cash grab. It's a clear cash grab. Like he hasn't found a new thing. No, no, well, obviously he didn't finish school. So he has no career play. Although, I like the guy. I mean, I like that. He was like, I like that he was able to get some traction behind this. Like it just shows also like how? But does it relate to the gullible, the gullible some people are?

That's that's the question is does is he correct in the sense that do we take it too far? Well, no, no, it's he here's now granted. We have a show called the conspiracy podcast. I got it. But we're we're actually pretty mellow. We actually have fans who are like you guys don't even yeah, don't scratch the surface. Yeah. Like we don't go down and we try to keep it that way in a sense like on purpose. We're not we're just trying to bring you enough information, but we also don't go like so super deep into every single detail. You know, we're trying to just keep it more entertaining. No, but I also like I'm a scientist. I want to know I'm trying to look at things from like the most logical possible perspective I can. Obviously, we don't know everything and like our concept of reality is like, you know, very limited to our reality. That's all we know. But I think there's there's there's a problem with what he's doing because he's he's making a very good point. Like he's proving that

A, the American populace is extremely gullible. Which they are. Like look, they get forced fed fucking shit every day and they just believe it. Yeah. So I think that he's by him doing that proves the point why it like it it's like proves the point against himself. So he's saying like, oh, people will just believe any conspiracy theory that they're told. But on the flip side of that, people will just believe what they're told. So if you don't question the narrative, you just believe what you're told by the people in power. The power is a bee. They try. This is it. You're like, oh, yeah, of course, of course, yes. But if you're not willing to question what you're just being force fed and be like, well, what about this? Like, well, this isn't make sense. This isn't add up. Like this happened and this happened. Well, maybe they're doing this. Like, now he's saying, oh, you're an idiot. You're an idiot for believing that potentially, maybe there's some nefarious shit going on that we don't like, we're not privy to. And we're just going to believe

what we're fucking force fed. He's literally proving the point of actually believing conspiracies. Yeah. By, by his social experiment, prove the point that you should question shit. Like, you should question our fucking birds real. Of course, they're fucking real. Why are you believing this fucking asshole? Like, you should question it. You should question everything because that's what makes you a human. That's what makes you an individual. If your friend told you that the color red was the color blue, would you just like take it at face value or be like, well, actually, I think it's this because this is what I was taught. You know, like, you should be, like, if we didn't question shit, we would still be fucking cavemen. Yeah. Like, we wouldn't be fucking shit. You wouldn't like, oh, why is there fire? How do you make fire? I don't understand. Also, I've learned, I've learned in this whole adventure that we're on, which is creating this podcast is that, you know, if you don't ask those questions, then you don't hold those people accountable. That's a very good point here. You know, that's very true. Because when we started,

I was very much not. Erick was like, I was very much not. It's pretty much everything we talked about. But that's really the basis of it is, is, you know, a lot of it has to do with our government. For sure. 100%. Or situations. And if you don't hold them accountable and hold them to, they, they must be a higher. Like, if you're running our country, you must be at a higher standard. 100%. It's just the way it is. I hate to say it. But they're all, there's a millions, there's what 300 million people in the US. There's like 375. 370 something crazy. So, so in theory, the best of the best should be there. Yes. They should be. And so somebody has to hold them accountable. Yeah. Yeah. And that's great. Swamp. Yeah. Well, I mean, the 342 million. So I was close. But somebody has to be held. Like we have to, and it's the people that have to do that. Yeah. The people have to hold those other people accountable. Well, it's also it's like,

why are you accepting, like, why should you accept any sort of facts that face value? I mean, like, look at what happened. If you just go back in time when you can't trust anything anymore. So you shouldn't. Dude, I'm not even saying, like, now I'm saying, go back in time. Like, look at when fucking home, he was like, oh, this is thing called gravity. They're like, you're fucking crazy. Like, no, there isn't. He's like, no, but like, here, let me prove it. They're like, okay, that kind of like checks out. Yeah. Okay. Sure. But like any time anyone discovered anything, everyone's like, fuck off. You're fucking insane. And they had to prove it to make it, like, to make it real. Yeah. Or you don't even have to take it like, you could just take the major incidents of our life, 9, 11, 2008 financial disaster. Jesus. You know, I don't know, like I've seen files. Yeah. The Benghazi. Jay, Jay, Jay, like all these things like, why did they happen? And that's, that's what we're here to, it's a question. Exactly. And that's it. Yeah. Yeah.

100%. Yeah. Well, we're also here to question how? Yeah. Yeah. Especially because, you know, like, for example, the 2008 financial thing, like, what was the official, we never even did this episode. But like, no, that, that's the official we haven't. Like, there probably isn't an official thing. Yeah. What happened? Why did everybody lose their fucking homes? And what was the bank? Well, no, with the, with the real question, I don't know. That's not the real question. The real question is, everyone lost everything. But the banks that made everyone lose everything got bailed out. Yeah. Why did they get billed out? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Why did, why did the government save them and not us? Right. Yeah. When we were the ones front in the bill, we're the ones paying for everything. Yeah. Like, how do you think the government runs? It's not off of like, they're not like producing any sort of product that like makes money. Yeah. Yeah. We're the money. We're the product.

Terrace. No, but like, we are our product. Yeah. Like, we are the product. Yeah. Exactly. But like, but the tariffs, like, fuck tariffs, who gives you shit about tariffs? Like, we make, we are the money. Yeah. Like, we are the money that powers the government. Like, people don't like, think about that. People don't really like actually put two and two together that your tax money is the government. Yeah. That's the pay that is the government. Yeah. That literally funds it. So like, why are you bailing out these banks when the people that literally keep the government alive are fucked? We got to do a whole episode on that. I know we shouldn't. Yeah. Yeah. I know. Well, so overall in this whole bird's scenario, I think it's back to the bird. I think it's hilarious. It is fucking funny. It's funny. I get that. I get that. It is a little shot at people. It's like a meme. It's like, yeah. It's like a meme. Yeah. And I also subscribe to the fact that if I can't laugh, like, yeah, it's not even we're talking

about that. Yeah. So it's pretty funny. And I'll give them that. You know, Kudos, you know, I actually respect it. Yeah. You know, like, I respect the slogan purposely did something that was so dumb and people bought into it. Yeah. I respect. I respect them. Yeah. 100%. So there you go. Guys, birds are not real. Would you guys buy our merch? Should we put that on there? Yeah. I would buy it for sure. Yeah. I just think it would be a funny shirt. Because like, look, see, we get people like, I want to make it. I know. I want to make it even if I'm not talking about it. People aren't going to buy it. We're not going to sell it. I want to mark it. You think he did. You think he went all the way. Oh, for sure. Yeah. Yeah. Super cash. All to make cash. All to make cash. Well, we could change it. Five came. I'm going to do it anyway. Yeah. We could change the birds are fake. No, no, we should be like real are birds are grown. Yeah. Real are fake. Fake are birds. Yeah. All right. There you go, guys. That is our episode tonight.
