Bills Trade for DJ Moore, Reshape WR Corps

0:00On March 5th, here's the latest surrounding the NFL. The Buffalo Bills have agreed to a trade with the Chicago Bears to bring in wide receiver DJ Moore. This move addresses a key need in their passing game as they build around quarterback Josh Allen for the 2026 season. The deal can be official until the New League year starts on March 11th. Financially, Moore's contract includes a cap hit of about $24.5 million each of the next four years. The Bills can convert some salary to lower his 2026 cap number to around $6.75 million. They're also guaranteed $15.5 million of his 2028 base salary, making it a pricey addition. In exchange, Buffalo is sending Chicago a valuable 2026 second-round draft pick while getting a fifth-rounder back. The Bills still holds seven total picks in that draft, starting with the 26 overall selection. This reshaped their wide receiver group, now led by Moore alongside Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, and others like Joshua Palmer and Curtis Samuel.

1:05Moore posted career lows last season with 50 catches for 682 yards, but his 13.6 yards per reception would top the Bills qualified receivers.
