For the NFL, it's March 6th. Here's what's happening. Make sure you're subscribed so you never miss an update. NFL free agency kicks off in just a few days, and the Buffalo Bills have already tackled their top weakness. They traded with the Chicago Bears for wide receiver DJ Moore. Their best option at the position since Stefan Diggs left. Now the team turns to its own free agents, with six key players on the market ranked by how badly they need to bring them back. On the edge, Joey Bosa had a solid one-year stint after replacing Von Miller. He notched five sacks and forced the league high five fumbles, but he faded in the playoffs. The Bills could let him walk and grab a cheaper replacement without a huge drop-off. AJA, Epinisa offers reliable depth there too, with 24 sacks over six seasons, perfect for another short-term deal. Up front on offense, Guard David Edward stepped up big over two years, becoming a starter from a backup role. But his market value sits around $20 million a year, which is steep for a capstrap roster.

Center Conor McGovern tops the list though. Recent talk show he wants to stay, and losing him would hurt more than most spots since trusted centers, are hard to find. Linebacker Matt Milano brings elite talent when healthy, with 67 tackles in three and a half sacks in 12 games last season. Injuries limited him before, but he's worth a fair deal if he stays on the field. Backtradevius White fits right behind, returning last year for 16 games as their steadiest coverage guy and a playoff hero against Jacksonville. Buffalo hopes to lock in these pieces without breaking the bank, especially with salary cap tricks already in play. Keep in the core round, Josh Allen, could push them deeper into the postseason hunt. This episode is brought to you in partnership with our sponsor.
