The 65-year-old actor won Best Supporting Actor for his role in one battle after another on March 15, 2026. Karen Culkin accepted the statue on stage for him at the Dolby Theatre. Meanwhile, while Penn was traveling, Ukrainian Railways CEO Oleksandr Prasovsky surprised him with their own award called the Iron Oscar. It was made from metal scraps of a destroyed real car, handed over on March 17. Prasovsky called Penn a loyal passenger and great friend to Ukraine. Penn hugged him in thanks, showing his appreciation for the heartfelt gesture. This isn't Penn's first link to Ukraine.
