BIG EAST Basketball Tournament Returns to MSG

It runs from Wednesday, March 11th through Saturday, March 14th, keeping its spot as college hoops top postseason event. This marks the fourth decade the tournament has called New York City Home, making it the longest running conference championship at a single venue. Since 1983, last season's event drew massive crowds, selling out every session to nearly 20,000 fans with St. John's claiming the title. Kicking things off on Wednesday are first round matchups like Butler against Providence at 4 p.m., followed by Marquette versus Xavier in DePaul, facing Georgetown. Quarter finals on Thursday, pit top seeds, including St. John's, Yukon, Villanova, Seton Hall, and Creighton.
