0:00Hi, this is Dr. John Newfeld and you're listening to Back to the Bible Canada's Bible Minute. 1 Peter 2 verse 19. For this is a gracious thing when mindful of God when endure sorrows while suffering unjustly. The scriptures readily acknowledge that life isn't fair. Good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. I'm sure that you've tasted some of life's wrongs. How are we to respond? It's normal to fight back and defend ourselves and crusade for a correction. God invites a different path. When we suffer injustice, God calls us to endure with patience. Our tolerance doesn't diminish our pain or suggest the wrong is right. But with our eyes focused on God, we demonstrate our confidence that God is in control and God sees our surrender to Him as a thing of grace.
