Beyond DC, do you know what’s going on in your state?

As a union of 50 states, what happens in our cities and states is as important, if not more important, than what's going on in DC. I doubt most people would realize that, based on some of the news coverage lately. Hello there, everyday Americans, Paul Engel here with the Constitution Study, where we read instead of the Constitution, Teach Horizon Generation Be Free, I'm glad you could join me today. Now, I remind people that while DC tends to get all the attention, it's not where all the power is. And actually, if we follow the Constitution,

1:01it's not even where most of the power is. So, this often allows states and cities to do things that most of you think, there's just regional issues. We don't care about those, but I really think that we should, because it says a lot about our society as a whole. Let's start off today in, well, Manhattan, New York City. I was born in New York City. I lived there for many years. In fact, I used to work there. You used to bring me there to work. I was very comfortable in New York City. And I doubt I'd even want to go visit the city now. I still have family that lives there. I don't even know if I'd want to go visit it. Now, Mayor Mandani posted a video, along with the represent of Occasio Cortez, to encourage New Yorkers to enroll in the city's pre-K and 3-3-K programs. What's interesting is the video was entirely in Spanish, although it did have subtitles in English, or it should say with an English translation. And again, they turn around and

2:06said, hey, remember, if you have a child that is three or four years old and this year, you can enroll them in three K or pre-K programs in New York City. But they wanted to make sure you get on them before the deadline. Okay, first of all, this isn't free. It's just paid for by someone else. And I really find it interesting that how off, how early the government wants to get their hands on our little children. Now, some people focus on the fact that the video was in Spanish. I don't know if there was an English version of the video, because again, there's a lot of Spanish speaking. And again, in my neighborhood, when I was a little kid, there were families where at home, they only spoke Spanish. The kids learned English in school, but at home, you know, the grandma, parents, they often spoke only Spanish. So, I don't have an issue with them doing it in Spanish. It tells me a lot about the city. But it's this idea that, oh yeah, here you go,

3:11more quote-unquote free stuff. That again, really isn't free. And again, okay, let's get your kids into a government propaganda program as a government indoctrination program, pretty much as early as we can, and then be surprised when those kids see government as mother and father. Now, at roughly the same time, Mayor Zondani went to Albany to speak to the state lawmakers, begging them to approve an additional 2% hike in the income tax on quote-unquote high earners in the city. They said, the most direct route to closing the city's multi-billion dollar budget gap will spend money we don't have, and then try to take it from people that earn money. Apparently, it truly believes that this is going to work. And he puts it in such nice terms. I'm asking

4:12for a 2% raise in personal income taxes on the most affluent New Yorkers. The top 1% of New York city can afford to contribute $20,000 more in taxes. Well, first of all, it's not contribute, it's taken. It's not like these, well, they're going, hey, you know, I'm going to give you a couple of grand, you know, 20 grand more for some, you know, contribution, some philanthropic reason, you're putting a gun to their head and say, pay it, or we're going to take more money, we're going to take your stuff. So as I did, he think it's a contribution. Oh, they can afford it. The problem is, it should they have to afford it. In other words, what right does the city have to pick these people's pockets to provide programs? The city, I don't know if they're chartered or even authorizes it. Again, you know, he just said he wanted, we've got this, this, you know, basically universal pre-K where everybody can go and the city's going to pay for it. We can't

5:17afford it. So now we're going to go force other people to pay for it. And why is anyone surprised? I mean, is this not what socialism looks like? We in the government take all the money from you, we can, and we decide where it should be spent. And if you complain, well, you're just evil. And if you don't contribute, well, well, if you don't, if you don't agree with us taking your tag, you don't contribute. I'm sorry, but that's just greed. I mean, it's, it's flat out green. Mr. Montgomery, if you want to fund these programs, find a way to fund these programs that doesn't involve stealing from people. Because it's not just, and again, it's not just the wealthy he's going out, he's still going after New York State taxpayers to get more funding for the city. The city can't pay for what it does. They're writing checks that the city can't cash. And now he's begging people to bail him out as if, well, he's not continuing to run the city

6:20into bankruptcy. I mean, why should a family in Buffalo or Rochester and Albany pay for these 3B programs in New York City? So you want to raise taxes on your own people? Okay, that's at least legitimate. But there's a reason why you're only asking for an extra couple of percentage points because you know, if you raise the taxes far enough, the people that actually had the money that you want to steal would leave. You've made a mess. You've made promises that you couldn't possibly cash. And now you're trying to find a way to make up the difference. Now let's face it, offering free goodies as a bribe for votes and then trying to get other people to pay for it. It's not unique to Mayor Mondami. It's not even unique to New York City. This has been decades of how many American cities and states have worked. You promise people goodies to get you in office. You don't need to pay for it some way. So you find somebody else to try and pay for these goodies. But there's something in New York City lately that has become a bit more unique.

7:26And this again is kind of being pushed back towards Mondami. So recently, you may have seen video of the snowball fight involving NYPD office. Well, I wouldn't exactly call it a fight. It was more of an attack on NYPD officers. Now as I understand it, there was a snowball fight going on in Washington Square Park, which is kind of a little more than halfway up the western side of Manhattan. Not far from well, Washington Bridge, George Washington Bridge, just kind of the general area. And in this, the police were moving through, I don't know what the police were doing there. I don't know what, but they were, they quickly became the target of the snowball fight. Now first of all, I'm glad it was just snowballs. See anyone who knows our history knows that in Boston, it was like 1774, I believe. Um, people were throwing not just snowballs, but ice at British officers.

8:26That led to what became known as the Boston massacre, the attack on law enforcement, in this case, the military that was something a bit more dangerous than a snowball. But I found interesting how this is being spun. See former New York governor Andrew Cuomo and former mayor Eric Adams, they were quick to point the finger at mandami, even though he's in the same party. Why? Well, he did have a history of calling police racist, evil, wicked, corrupt, which might explain the targeting of police during this snowball fight. Uh, former mayor Adams added that using, uh, the, the Islamic, uh, theory of his, uh, his honor, it was also a bad example that may have led to some of this. He went on to say, watching officers get pelted with snow while they're out in brutally, in brutal weather, uh, protecting the city should make every New York, New York, dangerous. It is disgusting behavior.

9:30And I'm, I'm going to back off of that a little bit. All right. Again, having lived in New York City, granted, this was in the 1970s and we used to have beat cops. And you know what? I would see beat cops playing with children. You know, we'd be out in the, in the snow, maybe having a snowball fight and one snowman may go, ball, they go, Ryan and come close or even hit an officer and they throw back and it was playful. That doesn't exactly what this appears to be. And again, considering the, the history of, um, well, attacks verbal and otherwise, that police in New York City have been subject to, yeah, this wasn't a, a playful snowball fight, which to me is sad. If this had been, it turned into a, a playful snowball fight, that might have gone a long way, but that would be pretty hard with an administration and a population that literally sees police as the enemy that

10:32used to be reserved for criminals. And now it seems to be just about, well, a large, a larger percentage of the city population than I would find comfortable. But what does this say about not just the, the politics of New York City, but the population of New York City? Are you okay with your money being spent on free goodies for people, hoping that someone else would pay the bills? Are, are you okay with the other socialist agenda of this mayor? Are you okay with law enforcement being the butt of ridicule and have you really thought of what the consequences that may be one day when you need help and you need the police and maybe they're stuck behind a snowball fight or just, you know, maybe they're overwhelmed because so many police officers leave because of the, of the terrible treatment. I'm not saying the police

11:33officers are as pure as a wind driven snow. There are bad apples. But what we've turned this into is not a question of let's find the criminals, but let's simply it doesn't make them the enemy, which I find really interesting because they're the only enemy I know that you call when things get really, really bad. But I hope you see it's important that we not spend all of our time focused on DC because, well, let's face it, our rights are under attack in New York City and we'll soon see other places as well. And again, a lot of things we need to question, not things we need to be concerned because no regardless of happens in DC, the people in New York City are having to live with the consequences of voting for a socialist. That means, you know, more government paid programs that have to steal money from others to fund them and more regulation. And the, again, the promotion of a hatred for the police that are there to, to protect you. Again, they're not perfect.

12:37And I'd love to see it when bad cops, you know, I get videos all the time of people alleging bad actions by cops. And I'd love to see when bad cops actually get held accountable when they're fired, when they're arrested. But to brand every cop is evil when they're most of them are just out doing a very difficult job. And most of us wouldn't want to do trying to protect others, the rights of others, you know, this is what comes of living in that, in that society. And you wonder why people, you know, a lot of people living in New York City, people still go to New York City. And I, some of you have to wonder why maybe they don't, they haven't experienced the way I have, maybe they just have different priorities. I don't know. What I do know is if you live in the five burrows, this type of news should be very important to you. And maybe it's time you start asking yourselves, did we hire the right people to represent us? Could we find somebody to do a better job?

13:39And again, not just in, you know, in city hall, but the state legislature, governor, even your representatives, could you possibly do a better job? And if so, what would that look like? Or is this a good representation of what people in New York City want? They want the government to provide all the goodies. They want the government to steal money from other people to pay for it. They want, they want to be safe, but they want to vilify those that keep them safe. Maybe that is a really good representation of the people who live in New York City. I don't think I know anymore. But that becomes something we need to consider as a whole. It would be great if that stayed in New York City. I guess all we have to do is make sure that we do all that we legally can to make sure it does stay in New York City. Now, I got a break coming up. Well today we're looking at our cities and states because we got to keep an eye on what's going on there. Not everything happens in Washington DC. So let's keep an eye on it. In fact, I'm going to keep an eye on something going through the legislature of my home state of Tennessee. Dopted home state. I was not born here, but boy, I love living here. And it involves House Bill 1491, which includes some interesting language. It would add the language saying a public school shall teach all students except for students who are excused pursuant to subsection C, the Bible as literature, and age appropriate instruction on the history of Israel, the stories and the moral and ethical teaching of the old New Testament, the life of Jesus, the history of the early Christian Church, and the Bible's

20:57influence on Western civilization. It also says a public school shall not teach the Bible as religious dogma, coerce a student to believe or accept the Bible as divinely inspired, or teach the Bible in a manner that violates the establishment clause as interpreted by the Supreme Court of the United States. Now that establishment clause is interesting and I'm going to get to that to a minute, but let me back up. So when I first heard about this, I have to admit I was a little iffy. I'm like, ooh, the wording of this is going to have to be important. So the point is to teach the Bible as literature, not as a religious document. That at first that might sound oxymoronic, but you have to remember so much of our history was based on the teachings of the Bible. So much of the English language comes from scripture from the Bible. By the skin of your teeth comes from the Bible, going against a large opponent, the story of David and Kaliah's story

21:58comes from the Bible. There's a lot there. So to me, that's an interesting standpoint and they do make the point. This is not to be taught as religious dogma. No one's going to be required to believe that the Bible is divinely inspired. So I think they're trying to come up with a balancing act. So we understand the history, our founding fathers. There was a study several years ago that looked at the writing of the framers of the Constitution and the most often cited document. It was like 58% of the citations were of the Bible. In fact, it was so ingrained in our society, you didn't have to quote the chapter in verse. You just had to tell, you just had to mention the idea and people recognized it was from the Bible. Let's get back to that established. A lot of you have separated the church and state and the establishment clause. Well, here's problem number one. The establishment clause does not apply. Now, I know they say, well, you cannot teach something in a manner contrary to what the Supreme Court says. But remember, the establishment clause

23:04is part of the First Amendment. The First Amendment reads, Congress shall make no law. So the establishment clause itself doesn't legally apply. Now, what about the Tennessee Constitution? Well, I double check that as well. And under Article 1, Section 3, we read that all men have a natural and indifisible right to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their own conscience. So you have to, there's a, you have a right to worship according to your own conscience. And I think that's where they get the idea of, you know, well, you can't be taught as religious dogma. You can't be for someone to believe that it's divinely inspired. I think that is the the spirit of the federal establishment clause, even though it doesn't legally apply to the states. And no, the 14th Amendment did not rewrite the First Amendment to say that it applies to the states. I know that's a common myth given up by lawyers and by judges, but it just, it didn't happen. Just read the stupid document. But there's another point I want to make. And that

24:08is subsection C, which says a public school shall excuse any student from Bible-related instruction upon the written request of the student's parent or the student if the student is 18 years of age or older, meaning there's an opt-out. It's a simple opt-out. If a parent doesn't want their child to study the Bible, even as as literature, I don't want my child studying it, that's all it takes it stops. This idea of the separation of church and state, this false concept of the separation of church and state. First of all, the word separation of church doesn't exist in the Constitution. The idea exists in the Constitution, as expressed by Thomas Jefferson in his letter to the Danbury Baptist, where he said that don't worry about you being punished as a minority religion. The Constitution directs a wall of separation between church and state, meaning the church should be protected from the state, not the other way around. But I'm

25:12curious what you think, both if you're in Tennessee and not, to understand the history of our Western culture cannot, I don't believe cannot truly be done without understanding the Bible and its influence both religious and non-religious to our society, to our language, and is this a fair compromise or not? And if not, why not? What is the the expectation? Don't tell me it's the establishment clause of First Amendment, because First Amendment doesn't apply. Going back to the state constitution, you have the right to worship based on your own conscience, which the opt-out clause gives conscience doesn't have to say, you don't have to provide a reason, you just have to say, I don't want it. So conscience is satisfied there. As I've already pointed out, separation of church and state is meant to protect the church from the state, not the other way around. So why? Give me a good constitutional or legal reason. Why? And I'm curious. Again, I'm

26:16looking at this going, I don't think it's a bad idea. I'm just not sure this is exactly the way it should be done. I don't really see a problem with it, a blatant problem with it yet, but then again, you know, maybe I'm not seeing something. That's why I ask people to tell me what they think, give me their point of view. Okay, let's head over to New Jersey, which is once again in legal trouble with the feds. The Department of Justice is suing the state and its governor over an executive order that limits federal immigration enforcement on state property. Now, of course, the justice department saying, well, this violates the supremacy clause, which is, which they say says that federal law generally override state laws. And by interfering with federal government's mandate to enforce immigration law, well, here's the problem, right? Let's actually look at the supremacy clause. It says this constitution and the laws United States made pursuant thereof and the laws of the treaties made or which shall be made under the authority of the United States

27:19shall be the supreme law of the land. So the first thing we have to ask is, well, is this federal law made pursuant to the constitution? Because this federal law, and then here's the part where I think you've got, you got a bit of a problem, right? So New Jersey, in the name of the citizens of New Jersey own property. That's property right. So in order for this law to be effective and state land, not federal land, well, you have this little thing called the Fifth Amendment. This said, a person should not be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law. If the state holds in trust property for the people of the state of New Jersey, how can the federal government deprive them of that power without due process of law? A due process of law is a process designed to protect the rights of the individual. So I don't think the supremacy clause really flies here because you're talking about federal

28:19activity on state property. By the way, I would also argue that again, this law needs to be made pursuant to the constitution. Tell me where in the constitution is the federal government authorized to establish immigration policy. It's not. They can regulate naturalization, but not immigration. Congress can set rules for becoming a citizen. It says nothing about Congress setting rules for entering this country. Should that be or not is a whole different question. The point is, if it's not made pursuant of the constitution, that is not the supreme law of land. It doesn't fall in the supremacy clause, and the DOJ has a problem. Now, I kind of chuckle away a turn general body response that says, federal agents are risking their lives to keep New Jersey citizens safe, and that New Jersey leaders are enacting policies designed to obstruct an endangered law enforcement. Well, there's a lot of hyperbole in that. First of all, federal agents are risking their lives,

29:20not primarily to keep New Jersey citizens safe, but to enforce federal law. Keeping New Jersey citizens safe is a secondary effect when you're dealing with some of the criminals that are here illegally. Are the New Jersey leaders enacting policies? Are they designed to obstruct the work they were doing? If they think it's unconstitutional, yes. Is it to endanger law enforcement? There you got a lot to prove there, Ms. Bondi. But she goes on to say, uh, states may not delivery interfere with our efforts to remove illegal aliens and arrest criminals. Well, again, Ms. Bondi, you have a constitution to support. You're talking about state land. That's not land you own. That means if you wish to search for illegal aliens, you need a search warrant. The same way as if you're coming into an individual's house. All right. This is public land, but it's owned by the people of New Jersey, not the federal government. So I, you know, you can't simply pretend that you have authority over land that's not yours.

30:25So yeah, I would think, Ms. Bondi, if you want to go after these illegal aliens on state property, you get a warrant. Then you've got a leg to stand on. Right now, it's just a pissing competition, between the states and the feds. And remember, was it Prince of United States was a case where the federal government can't force state officials to help them. Doesn't say they have to, you know, to say you can't obstruct us. Yeah, you're a little close on that one. I'm not going to help you. I'm not going to let you in. I'm not going to, you know, you have to have a warrant to enter. That may be part of the problem. In other words, this, this has now become much more of a political battle than it is an actual legal battle. And if we're talking about legal battle here, New Jersey, let's stay in New Jersey. They're at it again. We're already waiting for a decision from the third circuit about New Jersey's ban on so-called assault weapons or what they call large

31:26capacity magazines. We're still waiting for it. But now New Jersey basically wants to turn every place where people gather into sensitive places. They are also want to impose insurance requirements and other mandates on people who apply for concealed carry license. And here's what's interesting. So a three judge panel of the third circuit upheld the expansion of gun-free zones basically to everywhere people might show up. And it's now going to be heard by the entire court and on bond hearing. And this is where this is where people are bringing into question because if on bond gets being heard, the odds are that this three but judge panel is going to be disagreed with. They don't agree with the three judges that the court as a whole says, wait a second, how can you in the light of the Supreme Court's case in Bruin? How can you suddenly declare every area where people gather sensitive places? They specifically said in Bruin,

32:28sensitive can't just mean that people be there. There must be some real sensitivity to it. So this is going to be an interesting one to follow because again, you have the state infringing on the Second Amendment, something it's been doing historically, something it's got away with quite a bit. And now you seem to maybe even have a little tet-a-tet within the third circuit itself pushing back on the three judge panel about whether or not the state can simply declare, hey, people show up here. That's a sensitive place you're right to keeping bear arms disappears there. So I'd love to see the attorney general going after New Jersey about the supremacy clause. The Constitution is a supreme law of the land. It says the right to keep bear arms shut up, be infringed. It doesn't say that the Supreme Court gets to decide when and where the Constitution applies. That is a violation of the 10th Amendment. And really it's something the other state should be fighting as well. The problem is again, most politicians, most

33:31lawyers, they learn from the lawyers, the lawyers went to law school where they didn't actually study the Constitution, they studied the opinion of judges. And that's a lot of the mess that we're in. So again, this is going to be a case. I'll be keeping my eye on. If it's going to be heard in a bonk, there's a possibility. It may also be heard by eventually by the Supreme Court. We'll have to wait and see. But I hope you see how important it is that we focus on our cities and states. Now, I tend to focus on cities around the nation because that's what I do. You really need to focus on your city, your state, your town. That's the way federalism is supposed to work. Federalism is not an all-power federal federal government. It's a federation of states doing their own thing. Meaning my job is to watch out in my county and my state. I don't live in a city. I intentionally live in an unincorporated town. But I pay attention to what's going on in my county and in my state. Because if I'm doing that, if I'm taking attention to my county and I'm dealing

34:37with my neighbors, and I speak in other counties, and I help them deal with their concerns, well, then suddenly we can just make sure the state is following the laws. And if enough people do that and enough of the states, well, the federal government becomes irrelevant. Because the federal government's job is not supposed to focus on domestic affairs. I think what Madison said that they're supposed to be on foreign affairs. The state's focus on domestic affairs. And if that were the case situation, if that's what we demanded and if that's what we worked for, I wonder, oh, what a nation it would be. See, then people would be defending our own rights. Now, again, we disagree about a lot of people. There's a lot of disagreements because we all think differently. But our rights are supposed to be so obvious that they should be protected above all, but they're not. Our rights are under attack. And not just by governments. They're under

35:42attack by organizations that think they know better how we should live our lives. And these organizations are often funded by corporations that you and I do business with. I stop doing business with several of them. I haven't found all of them, but I don't do business with them. But you can do as you can join companies that do believe what we believe. 39:56Welcome back every day, Americans, you rejoin the Constitution. Today, we've been talking a lot about cities and states. I got a couple more stories I wanted to look at that are just, well, they're a little different, they're a little off that skill. The first is an apparent attack on a Nevada power station. This one was a little weird. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department announced a joint terrorism investigation with the FBI. What happened? Well, apparently a guy from Albany, New York, my old neck of the woods where I grew up not far from there, drove his vehicle into a power station, actually power substation near a boulder city. If you've seen these stations, what I'm thinking though, it's those areas we've got all the transformers and the wires and all this stuff. It ended up inside the secured area and

40:59well, the driver was dead, apparently, though, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. That's weird enough to begin with, right? Because you're not dealing with a mass shooting. Okay, that's nice. But you're attacking the power grid. Now, the story is it unfolded. It gets a little more interesting in a couple of different ways. So the suspect was identified. I'm not going to name him. I will tell you some Albany, New York. I'm again, very familiar with the area I lived in and around that area, the vast majority of my life. He was wearing a sophomore body armor. He had a shotgun and allegedly before the attack, he contacted his mother because when you're going to commit some side of crazy thing like that, you call home to mommy. And it's a legend. He's called himself a dead terrorist son. Well, there's something to make your mother feel good about you. I mean, I remember scaring my mother quite a bit when I was a child, but I had never referred to her as a dead terrorist, but that he felt obligated to carry out the attack. Now, why?

42:05Well, they're still trying to figure that out. Now, apparently inside the vehicle, he had multiple weapons, including shotguns, an AR pistol, loaded magazines. He had a flamethrower among other things. When they searched his hotel room, they had explosives and other materials from making explosives. So yeah, this guy was certainly not rolling with all our or shall we say. Now, apparently this guy rented a car in Albany and headed off to Las Vegas a couple of days later. They actually tracked his journey based on plate reading technology. All right, let me back up a little bit because a couple things I want to point out here. First of all, there's a lot of focus on the firearms he has that he apparently only used against himself. None of those firearms are used in the attack he used his car. In his hotel room, they found explosives making

43:11material, but he didn't use that. He used his car. And now we find that all those plate readers, you know, they say, well, you know, it's just for criminal investigations. Okay, they used to hear for criminal investigation to track him across the country. Gee, I wonder, did they get a warrant to search that information? Because I certainly think they'd say, I have probable cause. We found his body in the car in the power substation in Nevada. We talked to his mother who said that he called. We have records that he rented a car. I think you've got probable cause of search the database. I'm just wondering if they'd bother doing that. Okay. The next we have another interesting thing. So when the FBI executed a search warrant on his Albany residence, they found more firearms and other components. When they searched this hotel room, as I said, they they covered among other things, books covering a range of extremist ideologies, including

44:14white supremacist, anti-government, environmental extremist, and both right wing and left wing with turtles. So apparently this guy was an equal opportunity nut job. He was both a white supremacist and an environmental extremist, and he had materials from both left wing and right wing and right wing ideologies. So who knows what's going on here? But what we have here is obviously a very unstable person and something snapped. And thankfully the only person get hurt with him, when the person he killed was him. But I want you to I want to keep looking at all the focus on well, he had he had guns and explosives and but he used a car. Now that doesn't excuse anything that he did, but we keep saying that, you know, keeping guns out of the hands of law-fabiting citizens doesn't solve the problem because the criminals can not only get guns, but they can

45:18use things other than guns. And I'm glad that he that that you know, he didn't do anything more than kill himself and damage property. But you know, I'm sure people in an area lost power, but I just found this to be kind of a kind of a warped and twisted story. I mean, this is Godball, left wing, right wing. You have government surveillance. I don't know, I just kind of caught my attention. And one last thing, this is actually good news. And I want to end up on good news today. The Department of Homeland Security announced that 56 Coast Card members who were discharged were refusing to be medical guinea pigs under the Biden administration, meaning to take the fake COVID-19 vaccine. They have been reinstated and will receive back. Hey, Homeland Security, Secretary Christian Nome said this is victory for religious personal and medical freedom for all

46:18Americans, both in and out of uniform. I don't know if I go that far. It's good news. 56 men and women who refuse to give up their rights and take a and follow an illegal order. That's right, if violated the uniform, quote, in military justice. And now finally, finally, they're getting reinstated and they're getting back pay, which they that would be their the compensation for the damage done to them. I'm glad this has happened. I'm glad to hear this. I'm very happy. Not just for the members, the 56 members, but their families and and you know, it's not just their ability to fulfill their career. It's their ability to provide for their families and train their families. And and just as a whole, it it shows that if you stand up for what is right, the you may not, you know, you may have to pay in the short term, but you'd hope in the long term things are made right. And to me, that's what I see here. They stood up. They paid a price. They were willing to

47:23pay the price. And now they're being rewarded for that sacrifice. And I'm very happy to hear that. I'm very happy to read that. And I wonder how many more members were discharged. Because according to some of the reporting I'm seeing, there's where as many as 274 illicit members who were discharged from Coast Guard service solely for refusing an illegal vaccine mandate. And well, if we've got 56 back, that leaves what is your 220 to 218 left? Chris Misnome, I think it's time to get on the ball and say, hey, these people are either going to be offered to be reinstated. They should all be offered to reinstated. They should all receive back pay as compensation for the horrendous way we treated the people who who take an oath to protect us. The Coast Guard, they're there to guard our coast. They're there to be that home

48:31sea protection. And they were treated very poorly. And I think they deserved not only their jobs back, but they deserve back pay. And they deserve our thanks for their willingness to stand up against what in the illegal order, to stand up against the tyranny that said, you are not your own. And even though it violates the uniform code of military justice, we're going to demand that you take an untested, experimental gene therapy in violation of the federal law, the U.S. code that that governs the military. I thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for standing up for what is right. And I pray that you get your opportunity and that you get your compensation and that people recognize that you are not cowards walking away. You are brave men and women standing for your oath to support the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.

49:34So I think that I'm glad they've got their jobs back. I'm waiting for the other 218. I want to hear more about those, but I thought it would be nice to at least the last story I look at today be some good news because I think we can all use some good news from time to time. But let's take a look. Let's wrap up the day here. Let's wrap up the episode. So we're talking about cities and states. And again, I see it so often. Everybody's so focused on Washington DC. It's like the magician, right? Look over here. I want you to look over here. I'll do all sorts of crazy stuff to get you to look over here while the dirty, the trick is being done over here. And in politics that's frequently they want to look at DC because DC does have a lot of power influence, much of it illegal, much of it criminal. But that's not my point today. It's also a distraction from what's going on in our cities and states. And the other thing we need to remember is these are being done by people

50:37we hired to represent us. So if you live in New York City, congratulations, whatever, if you're complaining about mandami, as collectively, you put in there. This is what you wanted. That individually, but collectively. And I hate to tell you this, but I got to take your medicine. Unless and until he breaks the state constitution state law or federal constitution, you're stuck with him. I hope you enjoy it because this is exactly what you asked for. Again, not individually, collectively, same with AOC, right? If you're in her district, you elected her. Congratulations. This is economic. Maybe you're happy. Maybe this is exactly what you want. I still say, guess what? You have to live with it. And when you come begging to us to bail you out of your disaster, yeah, no, I'm not interested. You know, mandami wants a 2% tax.

51:40He wants a tax. We're going to tax the rich. You mean the people that hire all the people that pay for the services? You want to get rid of them? Gee, that seems to make not a lot of sense to me. And, you know, if you think that the police are such evil people, then why do you call them when there's a crime in your neighborhood? Oh, yeah. I know. It's sad. It's really hurt sometimes when your own hypocrisy shows. Same thing here in Tennessee, right? This bill about teaching the Bible as literature, not as dogma. I think you're skirting the edge. And again, it's not so much to have a problem with it. I've studied it. I've studied the Bible for years, for decades, for at least what, over 30 years, I've read the Bible through each and every year. It's not the studying of the Bible. It's the question of this, you know, literature versus dogma. There is a lot of literary influence in our country from the Bible. Like I said, so many of our idioms

52:46that come from the Bible, we don't even realize it. But I'm, you know, it's the demand. And again, they have an opt out. So I'm not for it. I'm not really against it. I'm kind of in this quandary, because again, you have the state dictating to parents what should be taught in schools, which always makes me give me a little, a little aja right there, right there. And of course, you have the whole issue with New Jersey and the immigration and the gun, and the gun freezones and all that crazy stuff. These are all being done by people elected by we, the people. Now, that kind of stings. It kind of sucks. Until you realize if we put them there, we can remove them. If the people of New York put marms on down in place, the people in New York can remove them. Same here in Tennessee, same here, same there in New Jersey. It's the, you know, it's kind of the two sides of the same coin. Yeah, kind of sucks to realize there are fault. But that also means

53:53we can fix this the same way in the Coast Guard. The, you know, the people we elected are in the case of the president, our state selected, help put in place this illegal immoral, uh, fake vaccine mandate. And there were men and women that stood up, not nearly as many as I thought should, but there were a few that did. And some of them are getting a just reward. We'll have to see what happens in a long term. But it makes me wonder, are we focusing, you know, do we get so distracted with what's going on in DC that we forget we still live in in our own cities and towns and counties and the, the, the, the, these states are ours. We created them. We elect our representatives. We are responsible. We are in charge. Too bad not enough of us believe that to actually do something about it. It's a clause by clause study of the entire Declaration of Independence and Constitution, so the people can read it and study its design for individuals in small groups to study the Constitution so that they didn't know what their rights are and they're prepared to defend and assert them. How many times people show me, send me videos of, of people making claims just aren't true. They're trying to defend a right that they're not even sure where it comes from and they're not even sure how to defend it. They've got an idea. They've been told something. Doesn't necessarily mean that something is wrong. That's why I wrote the book. So you have concrete evidence. This is how we defend the right and this is how we go about doing it.
