On April 27, former West Ham footballer Saeed Bin Rahma pleaded guilty last October to owning two dangerously out-of-control XL bullie dogs. They escaped his home in East London back in July 2023 and attacked a golden retriever named Bailey, plus his owner, Luke Rezbine. Bin Rahma got hit with a 10,000 pound fine. Plus orders to pay 2,500 pounds in compensation and 495. Rezbine for kennel costs at Willsden Magistrate's Corden. He showed up for the hearing via video link from a car in Saudi Arabia where he's playing now. Both Bailey and Rezbine ended up injured. Bailey needed immediate vet care and Rezbine went straight to the hospital after bites on his arm. Rezbine is still reeling from the shock, saying the dogs came out of nowhere with no collars and he's protecting his dog was all he could think about. More than six months later, he hasn't seen a dime of that compensation or even gotten an apology calling it a total lack of respect.
The courts and tribunal service confirms zero payments so far, but they're on a chasing Bin Rahma down, ready to deduct from his salary or even send. Him to jail if needed. Rezbine slams the system as outdated, pushing for fines to be paid right there in court. When Rahma built his career West Ham, with 24 goals in 155 games before moves to Leone and now Neome as sea in Saudi Arabia, plus reps for Algeria's national team. Courts keep pressing for that cash, leaving everyone waiting on justice to stick.
