Bengals Eyeing Romello Height for Edge Rusher Role

About this episode

The Cincinnati Bengals are focusing on edge rushers in the 2026 NFL Draft, with Texas Techs Romello Height being a top target. Height, a six-foot-three defender, had a solid senior year with twenty-one solo tackles, ten sacks, and two forced fumbles. Despite bouncing between four schools, hes seen as a late second-round or early third-round talent. Heights impressive NFL Combine performance, including a four-point-six-four forty-yard dash, a thirty-nine-inch vertical leap, and a nine-foot-seven broad jump, has scouts excited. However, his age, twenty-five on draft day, might impact his draft stock.

The Cincinnati Bengals are eyeing Ed Rushers early in the 2026 NFL draft after losing Trey Hendrickson and Joseph O'Sy to free agency. One top target is Texas Tech's Ramello Height, a 6 foot 3 defender they're bringing in for a pre-draft visit. Height wrapped up a solid senior year with 21 solo tackles, 10 stacks, and two forced fumbles. His college path was unique, bouncing between four schools over four seasons from Auburn in 2021 to USC in 2023, Georgia. Tech in 2024 and Texas Tech last year. Across his career, he racked up 111 tackles with 57 solo plus 16 and a half stacks, four forced fumbles, and one pick. Scout see him as a late second round or early third round talent, which could match the Bengals picks at number 41 and 72. At the NFL Combine, Height turn heads with a 4.640 yard dash in the 89th percentile for

his group, a 39 inch, vertical leap, and a 9 foot 7 broad jump hitting the 94th percentile. That said, he'll turn 25 right before the draft on April 13th, which might drop him on some boards. Still, he's one of several options as the Bengals look to rebuild their defense. This story is shared with support from our sponsor. Lay back, press play, let the pillow do the rest.
