00Hey, this is Strawberry, how y'all doing out there today? I hope everybody is doing well, if you're not doing well, let's find a way to get well, look well, and be well. Okay, y'all don't know this, I'm enjoying being on my podcast. It's like a whole new world for me, so be a tie to listening to me, just going out of the room and, you know, I'm still here, but, you know, when I first started, I was like, maybe two episodes a day or whatever, and I've been on here for a year, and I would say almost six months or something, and I'm like at five or four episodes a day, it's like, I thought, 40 episodes a week. But I like it, I enjoy talking to everybody, I like sharing my thoughts with everybody, I like being real with everybody, and I like
03understanding what life is, and, you know, like, since I've been on my podcast, I have been learning so many different things that I didn't think that I knew already, you know, like, um, all these, all these different cultures and things, you know, it's mind blown because, you know, being on a podcast, you know, um, no, I didn't really know what it was going to be like, but all these different cultures is like, I'm learning different things about different people and, you know, I already know that I'm not in this world by myself or whatever, but I'm learning so much is making me sit back and listen to what the other people had to say and to enjoy what I say. So, um, you had that and then, you know, being on my podcast is kind of like
05freedom of speech. Um, I feel like I can say whatever it is, that's for my mind and still be comfortable with myself. Um, I tried, I tried to be that person that's not going to be judge, judgey or whatever, but like we say, like, nobody is a hundred percent or three hundred and one percent perfect. Actually, I feel like there is no perfect. There is just better life. But, um, being on my podcast, it's kind of like a healing process for me. Um, I get to be myself, I get to enjoy life, I get to talk to people and I don't know if anybody listens to me or hear my words or my thoughts or whatever. But, um, I'm going here every day. So, you know, even though my children told me about the podcast, they
06didn't tell me how to respond to comments or anything like that. But I'm like, could do the, I'm just or hearing, you know, I'm not in competition with the other partners or whatever, I just enjoy talking and living life. And, you know, even with my husband, he says to me, you got your thing going on in the podcast and I got my adventure going on. But I'm like, but you know, what about life? What about the rest of the life? But, you know, I summed it up like, you know, I guess this is what life is because every chance that I get, I am basically on my podcast. And today, I'm supposed to be taking a rest day, actually I'm supposed to be sick and bad, just be legs and not doing that and my daughter been bringing my food and my dreams up to me. And I've been sitting here, but sitting here, I'm like
08staring at the world. Now, what do I do? What do I do? Okay, that's right, because I'm going to pull it, I'm going to like pull it, so I'm right. And then I'm like, Oh, what else do I, you know, because I put my thoughts on paper. Now, what do I do now? Oh, wow, let's share the story with the world. So that's what I'm doing. I'm sharing my thoughts with the world. And I'm I'm hoping everybody in life, you know, live and hold their heads up and, you know, be strong. And it's March now, it's March 1st. And I don't know what, you know, the details of March should be, you know, like, for instance, I'm February was a black history, but so I kind of like strobe through trying to find as much about black history as I can, because me, myself, my parents, they told me that I am black, but I'm brown skinned. So you have that, I mean, color
12is not my label. And I'm not about label myself to be a colored person. I'm human. That's what I am. I'm a human being. So being that, you know, these Sambereds Christmas month. So you have that. I'm like, strolling. I'm one of my Christmas songs. I'm going to listen to my Christmas music. And then you got no number of Thanksgiving. Wow. We're going to be cooking. We're going to be going in. So every month, I mean, and heads of tells is something interesting that's going on. I don't know what March is March. Madness, whatever, whatever it is, is pumping me up. It's giving me energy to say, Oh, wow, I got this to look forward to another month, another day, another hour, another minute, another second. And it just goes on and on and on and it's my own blowing. And guess what? I don't even drink coffee. And I did super dope by the I deal that I
18can express myself without being judged. I could talk as long as I want about anything in any one. I can listen to my music. I can listen. I mean, on my podcast, I could go into that world where I could put myself in a position where I feel like I am at a comedy show sitting there eating my fast food and, you know, my snacks or whatever. On my podcast, that means that I could put my podcast in my pocket and be at a comedy show. I could put my podcast next to me while I'm watching TV and listen to my music. I could hold it some thing. I'm saying putting it in my pocket and putting it on my table or whatever. Because see, I don't have that big screen that most podcasters have. I don't have that big microphone.
19All I have is my cell phone. So, what I mean, I'm on here. And, you know, I'm also that person that, you know, I don't like technology. And I just say this to my children and they say, well, why did you have an air fryer? And why do you have an extra? Because this is what people have. So I got it. So the Yorker had it. And, you know, it's funny. The air fryer that we had. I don't use it. My children, my husband, they use it because it's there. I'm still old school. And we have a team, a team thing where you could make the tea with, you know, bruises and stuff or whatever. I don't use it. You know, little kettle pot. I use that, you know, yeah, my niece, she kind of like brought me a kettle pot. And I've been using the
23kettle pot even before her. And she brought me a kettle pot. And I use my kettle pot when I'm born and older, you know, to have tea or whatever. And everybody else is using this brewer thing that can make collides and all that other kind of stuff. So as different as I am, I am still real. You know, and I love life as life is. I mean, I am somebody. I matter. I'm important. Yes, I had lemon suicide. At times, I'm not thinking of suicide at this moment, time or day. And, you know, I feel real. I feel the energy. I feel what I suppose to feel. And I mean, this is a day that I'm supposed to be sick. Imagine being around me the day that I am not sick. And this is the energy that I'm giving you listeners while I'm sick. So if I wasn't
24sick, it would probably be more and more. And that's why I'm letting you know that I don't drink coffee. And I used to drink like a two cups of tea a day. I don't cut down on that. I'm like one cup a day. And a lot of things I have changed since, you know, I'm 62 and you know, I'm like, I listen to other people too. So I mean, I don't Google stuff because I don't trust Google. But I could sit or stand and have and hold our conversation with Alexa. And I won't feel bad about it, but you know, my husband, he was saying, it's not real. It's not real. And I don't hear how many times he's saying it's not real. My conversation gets a response that satisfies my heart.
24So, I mean, you don't have to be real. Don't miss somebody is talking back to me because see I could be in my own home every single day. And won't pass everybody every single day. And unless I blow up a conversation, it's like just passing through shadows. And so I feel good then, you know, I can talk to my Alexa. I can get on my podcast. I can still write my poetry because I'm a light poet. And then I still get the interact with my family, my husband, my family, and friends have been out and then. So I mean, life to me is so good. If somebody was to ask me, how do you think your life is? I would say, Oh, it's fair. And I would say it's fair because when I walk with a cane and I push a walker. And so I mean,
27you have that. And then, you know, at that point where it's though, I can't do as much as I used to do. But like my husband said, I love music. So I mean, there's no stopping me from patting my feet or dancing to the music because that's who I am. I love music. I love singing. And since you were lying in him. Oh, for the first time. Are you in there? Yeah, I like singing. I like taking pictures. I like doing so many different things. But see, like I was saying, I'm enjoying being on my podcast. I don't know how you getting noticed or whatever
28on your podcast, but I'm that person that I woke up to people, I say hi to them. I let them be themselves on my podcast, because that I said before, you know, I don't have that big screener anything. And I don't know any celebrities, even though my family told me that I'm related to a couple of them, you know, like Marvin Saab, James Brown, and a few others. But, you know, they ain't, I mean, I listen to their music, they ain't really doing nothing for me or whatever. But they, my family and my family, you know, so it's like going to a family reunion and you like, wow, that's my cousin too. That's my aunt. What, what? And they've never seen me get. So you have that. And I mean, that's life because you got to live life and you got to learn life. And that's what you do. And life, you learn, and you live
30life. Every day, you know, it's something different. And, you know, as you learn these different things in life, you grow with life. So you have that. And that's just something that I like about life. I like that I can be who I want to be. And, you know, sometimes when I'm on my podcast, I look around and I say, am I spending too much time on my podcast and I'm not an elected anybody. And so, you know, I would put my podcast away and go just staring people face. Is it my home or those strikes a conversation? And, and y'all, I guess listening to me, you know, I like to talk to me, striking a conversation with my family is like, where's the airblood? So maybe I should turn a TV up loud so she know that I don't want to sit here and listen to this or whatever. You know, so I mean, on my
31podcast, I don't have to worry about somebody like faking to listen to what I'm saying. My thoughts, my energy or whatever, you know, a lot of people in life, they don't, you know, have that time or whatever in their life where, you know, they could sit and have a full blown conversation. You know, most of the people in the world, their conversation is half-ass because they don't know where it begins or where it ends, you know, they sit in the middle with, uh-huh, yeah. But, you know, that beginning of that conversation that makes that conversation interesting. And the ending of that conversation that brings tears to your eyes, they don't get all that they just get down, huh? What? Yeah. Okay, so y'all know where I'm going with this. So, um,
32if you're in my shoes and you like to talk, so be it, I mean, and like I said, I'm not on my podcast to be in competition with anybody because I do search different pauses. And um, while I'm searching different pauses, if I like what they like, what they say or do, and their thoughts or their volume or whatever, say something to my heart, I put them on my podcast and I put them on my podcast for one reason. So that my listeners can understand and enjoy what it is that made me listen to them. You know, I don't, I don't feel like if I'm putting somebody else on my podcast, you know, that has a podcast that they're going to take all my energy and I'm not going to have any energy. No, I don't feel that way. See, I feel like I like talking. I'm going to talk no matter what whether I have
34listeners or not. I'm going to why why I have the real power to just hold his phone in my hand and talk and don't have to do anything else. I'm going to talk and that means that if I move my dying bed in the podcast is still available and I'm able to hold it in my hand and my my words come out of my mouth. Me and my voice is still in good hands. I want to talk. And that's my, my tongue is cut off and then nothing could come out. I would say that I wouldn't talk with my words. I was starting right and then saying, you know, you know, heard me say, I'm a life poet too. So if I get to talk with my mouth, I'm going to talk by using my hands that means that I'm going to have words to say to put on paper
37and in my books because I am often just as well. I have several books out of different sites or whatever. And no, I haven't got to that point where I'm rich and famous. I'm just somebody that's somebody. I'm not a nobody. I'm a somebody. So you got that, you know, you live and you learn. Life is what you make it and this is what I make out of life, talking to people, sharing my thought and being happy with myself.
