BB28 Why ___ Lost Week 8

About this episode

BB28 Why ___ Lost Week 8

Also available on YouTube.

Haley and Lala were opposites in many ways. Haley was the D1 college athlete who couldn’t win a comp to save herself; Lala was the older woman who was not expected to win anything but then showed herself to be maybe TOO strong! The one who was much more well-liked made the jury while the other was left as a sweaty mess in medieval times. Their last week in the house doesn’t really tell the tale of why they went out, but David Bloomberg and Chappell pull together information from the whole season. Because at RHAP, we know Big Brother, and we know Why Haley and Lala Lost.

You play yourself and God won't eat it out. This is why blank blocks. And this is why blank blocks. Oh baby, this is why blank blocks. Welcome back to a special double why blank cloth. I'm David Bloomberg and this week has reminded us that in the world of big brother for every positive, there is a negative for every up. There is a down for every Lala. There is a hailey. And of course, joining me to talk about all of that is my co host, Chappelle. David, I love when you call this a double episode because I always forget that we lost two people here. It was not to not to say that it's part of the down of Hayley, but you know, the world moves on so fast and big brothers. Yeah, you know, Hayley has been gone out of the house for days at this point. I mean, it's feel like a damn near week almost, you know,

and some more than a week for life feeders. Right. Exactly. So like to now just be talking about why Hayley lost. It's kind of crazy because you know, we've had so many other big headlines to talk about as well. But I'm excited. We got a lot to talk about. Hayley's gone. Lala is gone. And you know, there was probably some rule breaking as well that we need to break down. Yeah. I mean, Hayley's been so gone for so long. It seems like medieval history by now. You know, but. I mean, there was some talk, you know, a little behind the scenes for people. There was some talk of us doing it. Right after Hayley was evicted, but it's a good thing we didn't plan to. Because then they postponed that till Wednesday anyway. So it's really just one more day beyond when Lala was. This, this blockbuster at this point in the game, right, where they have the blockbuster. And then they stopped down and they do this middivil challenge or. You know, whatever they did last week last year with the hamster wheel.

It just to me, it just slows down a momentum of the game. We spent the whole episode on the Hayley kind of battle royale that she ends up losing. But we spent two episodes of that. We really spent the Sunday episode and the Wednesday episode on that. And we could have moved on so fast, but not going to her out of the game on Sunday. And then going to Wednesday and really giving some more time to some of the other storylines that are going to shape the rest of the season. I don't like that they keep doing this. Like it's just. It's okay. Like it's it's seeming like it's going to be a pattern in the blockbuster arrow. Because you need something up. If you're not going to get, you know, a typical double double elimination or double eviction. I guess I should say, but. They got a tightness up. It just two episodes and then the Wednesday episode being 90 minutes. No, two hours. Yeah, two, I'm sorry, two hours in addition to what we already spent on that on that Sunday. It was up. It's just too much. They got it. They got to figure this one out because it's too, it feels very clunky in the middle. Yeah. And then on top of it. For all of that extra time they spent.

They barely touched on Lala. It was all focused on devils. And so I hope you don't mind. I'm going to quote a text that you sent to me Thursday night because you said this week doesn't tell the tape. Yeah. And it's true because we didn't see that much out of either player in the past seven days that directly caused their eliminations. Mm hmm. Yeah, we got to go back to the archive. Right. Right. And because they were culminations of actions that took place over the course of the whole game, which, you know, that is. And that's why we're trying to do this podcast because we look back over all of that. And we, of course, compare how we took them play to a set of guiding rules that originally wrote way back in 2004 and have modified ever since. So even though we didn't see much of it this week, we will analyze their actions using what we saw previously on TV live feeds, interviews and other information with the most recent published version being at Rob has a website.

And we will talk about the other things that we can do to make sure that we have a lot of other things to discuss about the week in general. And the first is something you've already brought up and item that people probably expect from me. My thoughts on the twist that eliminated Hayley because regular listeners know how hot I was last season. And I still am about what happened then. Am I as mad this time? Not quite for a few reasons. First, this one and we've heard people say this. This one was less bad than the hamster wheel of death because there was indeed some social game and strategy involved in addition to multiple comps instead of just one. Hayley had to lose not one, not two, not three, but four comps to get eliminated. With that said, better does not equal good. It's like someone sprinkling some sugar on a mud pie and offering it to you to eat like no, it's still mud.

Or in this case, it's still not big brother, no H.O.H. No veto and most importantly, no votes. But David, how many times we have to do this before it is big brother? You know, in the big brother twists in the past have been sacrilegious, you know, in the moment. And then later on, we're like, okay, it's normal. You know, the diamond power veto is something that we see in I think three times now in big brother history only played really once. You know, we're like with devins actually using it this time. But when it came up, it wasn't like, oh my God, the diamond power veto is not fair. It was like, well, that's the thing that we do here. You know, and so is this the new era of big brother, where we're going to have a competition every year that. You know, you got to work until your rules now, you say, okay, rule number, you know, 55 A at this point would be. Make sure you're good at the hamster wheel, you know, because it's coming or something like that. You know, same like at some point, this goes from being okay, this ain't big brother to yeah, expect the unexpected is all over again. Yeah, I mean, I was debating that also because yes, each season going forward, they probably will now have a big twist that involves getting eliminated due to comes.

And yes, as time goes by, more people will just be like, there it is. But you're talking to someone who still rages against final four fire making and that's been going on for nine years now. So don't expect me to forget that they shouldn't be doing it this way. I do hope that maybe they will continue the trend of involving more strategy and social game in it because yeah, players did at least this time have taught have an opportunity to strategize about the twist as they tried to figure out the best way to save themselves and their allies. But to me, it's just if you want to do a quick turnaround to figure out strategy, just do a double eviction, you know, you can suspend the blockbuster for one week or better yet ended at jury like it should be. And, you know, but what's a double eviction, huh, it's actually playing the game of big brother just in an accelerated pace, you don't have to go through all of this.

And you know, last season, of course, the uproar was huge because of two things. One, it was completely new and unexpected. Two, it was Rachel Riley who got eliminated. This year, now the fact that it was Rachel Riley doesn't make it worse, but it made the uproar more because there were indeed people like me, like a hoover at the time, who were saying, this is terrible. It doesn't matter if it was Rachel and there were the Rachel fans who only really cared because it was Rachel. So there were both of those certain. This year, it has certainly died down that up for because one, we knew it wasn't coming or was coming and two, yeah, it wasn't Rachel. And in fact, it was Hayley. That doesn't change that it was unfair, even to Hayley. And it shouldn't be part of big brother, whether or not they're saying that it will be in the future, it shouldn't be.

Yeah, it's not my favorite twist that we've ever had for sure. I was definitely more in the camp of this is bad, but also this is worse because it's Rachel, right? Like that was me last year. I was like, yeah, like if you want to accuse me of being biased because it's Rachel, okay, I'll take it. So it I've been I've been called worse things, but here here I was like, I was almost so annoyed to it because I'm more disincentized, you know, it already happened. Like it by it happening to Rachel the first time. It feels like that was the biggest it was ever going to be. So anything after that was going to pale in comparison, you know, I don't think there's anybody who could have gone home this season that would have had the same impact as Rachel Riley. Now, even the icons is as much as they've been running the game, I don't think anybody would have been as devastated to see one of them go out as the way it happened for Rachel who have been playing a game that was pretty new for her, you know, it's not we should we had been seeing her pull out different tactics. The old Rachel wasn't going to work there and she had never been put on the block before, you know, that entire season. So to see her kind of taken from the pinhouse to the outhouse, it made that a lot harder to swallow whereas here.

I think dog was on barbell time, you know, and so when it happened, it was kind of like, damn, that sucks, but we can move on without feeling like the whole game is up ended in that thing. The game is probably a little bit more interesting now that she's gone now on a personal level just because now the side to, you know, a little bit more defined and nobody has the numbers advantage quite frankly. Yeah, yeah, I mean, I'll talk about this more later, but yeah, exactly that Rachel was in a position where she legitimately could have won. Haley was in a position where we were just waiting for her to go. You know, so that that also definitely plays into it, but again, all of that is outcome based when you're talking about the idea overall. And yes, I agree with you. There will be a point they're going to do this every year. They're going to try to make it up like it's this huge big twist like they did this time. Biggest twist of the season. We all know what was coming.

Okay, we knew we didn't know the specifics, but we knew essentially what was coming. Yeah, so yeah, they probably evolved though. That's how we got to a thousand episodes David. We they have to keep changing stuff up because otherwise, you know, we'll be looking at it and be like, is this the open air of the brother, you know, they just keep it. They keep a fresh over here. They're ways to keep it fresh without doing this. Just like I say about survivor, you know, so. All right, we can move on from that. The second thing we have to discuss is what I thought we would be talking about through most of this podcast and that is Devon's volunteering as a nominee. Now, he said he did it to show he's a team player and it would protect the others on the crossovers and it was a big move that he needed to make. My response is a big hell no to all of these or as D correctly said stupid, stupid, stupid. And what we saw on Wednesday's episode made it even worse because before the HOH comp even happened, Devon's said he was worried about bear.

And then later he said he thought everyone was solid. It truly reminds me of Mallory last week saying, oh, I'm so suspicious of D and then like a day later saying, oh, D's in the lead here, take the HOH. The main difference was the outcome Mallory lost the blockbuster. Devon's won the blockbuster. Yeah, this was not great. This is not great. Rick, I've said it before on podcast prior to this one that I just as a as a devins fan is just was like, what do we do it here? I think that the issue with the survivor players that I've been seeing is that they they're not big brother fans. And so they come in and they don't really they're not prepared mentally for what big brother difference between big brother and survivor. Right. People used to call a big brother survivor in the house. And it's not it's just not that, you know, the amount of stamina you need for a game like this is incredible. A lot of people burn out very early. That's why they get but they give it out because they can't emotionally deal with just the pressure of it.

And eventually get tired. The friendships mean a lot more. Devon plays a survivor in the in the original era, but he's most recently played survivor on a quick 26 days, you know, in and out. You're not making a life form friends that quickly on survivor that you don't have to immediately vote out. There's three tribes that you're getting swapped. You don't spend as much time with each other. This way now the game is starting to cloud cloud is judgment. He's like, I need a big move and by big move. I mean, putting myself in harm's way for a week. That's not that's not how you play big brother. And so D was able to pick up on that. But it took Devon's way too long to realize that he was in danger. And I think had he gone home that night, he would have been legitimately blindsided by something that should have been so apparent. I'm not sure he ever realized he was in danger. I'm not sure. I mean, it's possible. I'm not fully caught up on the live feeds if people may and we wouldn't talk about them anyway, but I don't know if people have filled him in. But I still really don't know that as of the time he won the blockbuster.

I don't know that he realized he was in danger. Now, I'm glad I don't have to spend a whole podcast episode yelling at Devons. Though anyone who follows my videos on TikTok YouTube and Instagram knows I still did plenty of yelling at him as the week went on. And he deserved it, you know, which is why I had to mention it here as well. This was was just a pointless move. And it was worse that he acknowledged it was a terrible idea in general. But it could work for me. And look, I know he's a big move type of God. But there's big moves and there's just bad moves. And frequently I will say, especially on survivor podcasts that a big move usually is a bad move. In this case, yeah, it was, well, in this case, it wasn't both. It was only a bad move. There was nothing big about this move. He said in the DR, no risk, no reward. Wrong, Rick. It was literally all risk, no reward. If he, no one is going to give him credit for volunteering himself.

No one is going to be later like, you know, I want to vote out Rick, but he was willing to sacrifice himself. No, they're all like, my God, that was a dumb move. Why was he doing that? He was lucky to survive. I think my preseason assessment of Rick was he's a showman and he's going to do stuff that is against the, you know, the game design. He's going to go against the grain, you know, the things that work, you know, conventional wisdom a lot of times. And I at least think you're doing that to earn something, but he manufactured this benefit to doing this and his own head. There's nobody is saying that, oh, yeah, if you volunteered to go on the block, then you were guaranteed my jury vote, you know, that's just not what we're seeing. In fact, he's volunteering himself on the block and then almost holding his jury vote hostage like, yeah, I put myself on the block and you better not vote me out. Because if you do, then I'm not going to vote for you. What? Because you did something dumb. I got a vote however you want me to vote or else. No, you know, so yeah, it was, it wasn't a great week. It wasn't a great week for Rick. If he's going to bounce back, he's going to bounce back hard because that wasn't that was a tough ale to hold.

If he would have held it. Yeah, yeah. It's, yeah, I also hated the jury vote thing. To me, if someone said that to me, I'd be like, well, then I'm going to do whatever it is you're telling me not to do. If you're threatening me with your jury vote, I'd be more likely to, you know, to vote you out for that exact reason because better to do it now when you'd be the first person of the jury and we've got weeks to go. Then to wait till later when you may make that threat again. To me, this was desperation, you know, his back was against the wall at that point. Like again, he, he was trying to make it make sense that he did this. And so he's like, I got a, I got to put some failsafe in it. Let's say I'm wrong. Let me at least have some backup plans in order to keep me, but you're right. I would, I would completely rebel against this, but it's not new. This is not a new tactic. People will say that that's why Cody Califiorate takes Derek Levasser to the end, right? Like anybody who takes Victoria is not going to get any of our votes.

Try it. See what happens. You know what I'm saying? Like I think I'm more, I'm more in the camp of okay, prove it. You know, if y'all want to say that Victoria won this game. You know, if y'all are really willing to put your, you know, voter integrity on the line by doing something like that. Let's see. Let's play that game of chicken. So for Rick, I don't think he Rick with that that affect him. And I think that's probably how he should have looked at it. Like I don't think Rick's jury vote would be up for grabs. If somebody did something he didn't want them to do in the game, especially if it was against their, their best interest. So yeah, I don't, it was just, you're just throwing anything at the wall to see what's that. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Well, normally we would move on to our Julie Chen Moone vases wrong about blank segment here. But one, she didn't say anything to heinous this week, mostly because like the questions that Dalton Ross asked her in their weekly interview were, were softballs. Like what did you think of what devins did? And also pretty much our whole discussion of the medieval twist was a production is wrong about blank segment. So.

Yeah, I think we've taken care of all of that. I don't find it fascinating that Julie Chen called Rick Devins old. Yes. On the show, considering Rick Devins is like, I think he's younger than Frankie Grande. Yeah. So it's kind of like Julie. I think he's younger than you. You know, it's like, let's everybody relax a little bit. That's always fun to me in the big brother house that you could be like 38. Everybody's like your grandpa. I think Memphis was 37 or something like that when he played in all stars the second time. And I think Tyler Christmas was like, no, this man is 90 minutes. This is a 90 years old, you know, so it's something about being surrounded by 20 year olds that will make anybody look ancient. Yeah. I mean, and Julie was, I guess maybe I should have included this. Julie was a hypocrite because not only did she call a man who's younger than her old. But then she applauded Lala for doing all she did when she's older than Devins. And there's no way she was going to call Lala old.

Yeah. I saw a few people online being very happy to Rick won the black Western because he was doing it for the 40th and up crowd. I think it's, you know, the 15th crowd is definitely underrepresented on the brotherhood. So it's a 40 and up crowd. Right. I like there's a whole bunch of comp beast that fall into that category. And so yeah, I think in relationship to Lala, yeah, Rick Devins is young. But in relationship to the rest of the house, he is older. And so for, you know, just like shaming him for being old. But at the same time, like, I think we should be kind of highlighting anybody who's in there, you know, over 30 who's playing these competitions and hanging with some of these younger people. Mitchell was another person who played a really good inventive big brother game in a house full of people that was younger than her. And so I don't know. I don't, like, I like Julie well enough, you know, but I do, I do think that we need more older players in the house. I think I think it's just as a different layer of the game. And I would love to see more of the devins and Lala's play. And so yeah, maybe don't shame the older people just for existing.

Obviously, I'm going to agree with that. And I also did think since we're on the topic, the Zings against those two both being their age. Yeah, better. That's, that's just weak sauce. I mean, yeah, and he had the nerve to insult Melody's comedy. You know, it's like whoever wrote those jokes do better. There's so many other things you could have said that were funnier and more accurate about devins and Lala. And you went for the easy one. Like, come on. Yeah, I remember Jason saying that devins is like a team who a team who Adam Sandler and I thought that was so funny. And so yeah, stuff like that. Give me that. But maybe that would be Jason in the writers room. I think you need a drag queen in that and that Zings by outfit. Yeah. All right. Well, with that, let's move on here. Haley and Lala were opposites in many ways. Haley was the D1 college athlete who couldn't win a comp to save herself. Lala was the older woman who was not expected to win anything,

but then showed herself to be maybe too strong in the house. They battled and couldn't stand each other. But one was definitely much more well liked than the other on the whole. Even as they went out in the same week, Lala made the jury while Haley was just left as a sweaty mess in medieval times. How did such different players go out back to back at RHAP? We know big brother and we know why Haley and Lala lost. The first and most important rule is of course to scheme and plot. And I think in theory, Haley knew that coming in like she got into the Chagmu trio and then expanded that to the red corner, which expanded into the tool. But that's about as far as it went from her particular point of view. She didn't really understand how alliances work or what to do in the game outside of her alliances or anything like that. Terran at one point described the state of the game being you have the dummies and Kamu Haley and Chuck. And it was everyone's goal to get in good with the dummies and use them to their advantage, especially when they were in power.

And we saw the icons do this early. Then lyric tried to do the same thing after Rome was evicted. I guess to Haley's credit, she did see what lyric was trying to do, but I don't know if that was understanding of the game or jealousy. And and you know, for the alliances overall, I just mentioned she didn't really get how they work. A perfect example was when they were having a group meeting in Kamu brought up something she didn't like. And I believe it was about lyric. So she shut it down. While of course you want to ensure the moves you make help yourself, even as part of the alliance. You shouldn't tell them you're only doing it to help yourself and not your alliance, but that's exactly what she did. She's a very interesting case because she did work her way into a Jordi alliance, but her social. Like the, I guess lack or lack there of social abilities really locked her into that alliance, right, where people in the alliance didn't even like her.

And so when it came time to scheme, they were only willing to give her so much. They were only willing to go so far with her. And then there were other people outside of their lines who just could not seem to get in with her. And you know, whether it was she didn't want to or they didn't want to because of whatever friction that they had, she was always going to be relegated to the red corner. That was always going to be her thing, the red corners and the tool shit. And so if that was ever going to, you know, dissolve, it was always going to leave her out because she just didn't have the ability to really go and make those strategic allegiances with other people. I think that, you know, that's how the game starts. And then as we get to this point, even the people that burned her, you know, there's like people there. She's like, okay, I'll never work with you again. You could tell that there was just so much friction there with never going to work. She was never going to be able to apply and work with Lala a long time. You know, it was just never going to happen. But then she always found herself going back to the same people back to Angela, you know, as you're just like on a personal level, that's the person she connected with. And so that was the person she was willing to, so to plot with the most.

And if you just suppose that with somebody like Kamu, Kamu was open for all, you know, all offers, right? At any point, like, okay, fine, let's talk because I can't go, you know, the self preservation was so strong with him, even with Lyric to where they just were willing to have those strategic conversations with other people to a point where it just looked like dog just didn't have it in her. Yeah, and not only did she not have it in her as an overall matter, she had no idea where people stood most of the time. You know, we've talked about this in the past, but she was certain. I don't know how many weeks into the game that Devons and D weren't close. She was sure D was some kind of idiot who just agreed with whatever they told her. She went so far as to talk about a concern that D would run out of ideas by the end of the game and they would have to do all the brain work for her. Listen to that statement. Haley would have to do the brain work for D.

Maybe that's just good on D. Maybe she's just good with the mist to where she had people. I mean, because we've heard people make some really wild claims about D as a player in her abilities in the games. How many times we have to tell you all this woman one survivor? Like it's not maybe they just as big brother fans, they don't understand how difficult that can be. And then what it takes, I mean, there are definitely some survivor players out with say don't have these natural skill set for games. But generally speaking, you know, if you're one survivor, I could say that, yeah, at least some solid experience, you know, you might not have, you know, but had a great showing. Maybe you won the you know, tripped as backwards into a win, but you at least were experienced enough with people constantly lying to you around the clock and having to plan and plot and do challenges. And so for people like Haley to be so easily misted to the point where they're not going above and beyond to, you know, really strategize around these people who are obvious threats to everybody else.

You know, it does so a deficit in their games. And the thing is, yeah, I agree with you. We have to credit D for part of it. But Haley's ability to dilute herself. There were many other aspects to that. She, she talked about how her gut was always right. She even said on the live feeds August 11th, I'm just incredibly intuitive about people. Despite the fact that her gut reactions were proven drastically wrong on issues. She was very sure of many times. A couple examples. And this is a situation where I had to cut down the number of examples because there were so many. She was sure Angela had voted the way Haley wanted when lyric was sent out. I mean, she talked about this and talked about this and talked about this. And yet even after finding out Angela lied, she still talked about her gut being always right after that.

That's how sure she was that she was right. And no, no facts would penetrate the skull. No, no, it was just a Haley kind of just hyping herself up. You know, I can say she really didn't have a lot of people who weren't hyping her up. You know, yeah, talk who was definitely a lion. But as you can see, Kamu started making other inroads. You know, as he started to see the writing on the wall, Chuck did not, you know, her and Chuck were just sitting in the room together and kind of tell each other exactly when they would say nice things about each other. And then of course the icons would pick up a like, yeah, let's just agree with her. Let's just agree with Kamu too. Let's just tell them whatever they want to hear because they're just so high on their own supply that that's all they're going to hear and that's all they're going to believe. And so, yeah, once she started to believe the hype about the way she viewed the game and the way other people were playing, there was really nothing you could do. Like it took the blind side and then the other blind side before she realized, oh, okay. Now I'm on the bottom. I kind of see it. And then at that point, it was like, okay, what is she going to do to get out of that position?

She didn't just decide to alienate people even further. Yeah, yeah, her belief that she knew everything extended to other areas as well because how many times did she insist she was going to get a power because she was so beloved by the viewing audience. I quote, from the shit I went through in the shit this week, I might get it. Then it might circle back to Devons. It won't circle back to D. Of course, D and Devons already had their powers by that point. She later said she would get the power because quote, nobody deserves it more than me been dragged through the bleeping mud. And again, later added, who else would get it? First by name was dragged. I got stood up to from a man. I got a teapot around my head. My H.O.H. doesn't go my way. I lose my best friend. Now, I know none of that is about strategy specifically. But to me, it provides us with like a full insight into how her mind works and what went on in that house and in her head and how they were two different things.

And her mind didn't work. I mean, that's the only way to say it. She didn't even know why the show was called Big Brother. Devons had to explain that to her. Yeah, I expected more from Haley, honestly, when it came to just something like that. Like that's something that you told me Drew said, all right, he's young, you know, it is a data. He's a high school in college. Right. Look, I saw people online debating whether or not there should be something that is topical. I think it should be. I think everybody should really know. Or at least at the very least, do some research into the show before you go on there. You never know what you're signing yourself up for to get read about it. You know, just how about that. But yeah, Haley definitely surprised me in those areas. I went to listen to her excerpts because I wanted to hear what she thought about the bad weeks that she had, right? And it's because I was thinking, okay, let us in on what was going on. And she said, basically like, no, she was just having having a hard time acclimating to the house, right? Be it away from her family, be it away from friends, being around these new people, the strategy, the lying, all that kind of stuff.

But that's not what you've been saying. You know what I'm saying? Like that's that's a different, like version of what we've been hearing. You've been talking about how you been getting dragged through the mud and how every week's been so tough for you, you know, in the game. Look, we all get it every is a hard game to get acclimated to everybody's going to go in there and kind of hit some type of a culture shock when they realize it. They don't have the people around them that keep them comfortable and the things that they hold dear. But aside from that, with the amount of space you had to play the game with the built-in alliance of just you, you comma and chuck looking so physical, right? And being so imposing that people wanted to work with you. You already had that in your kind of like in your wheelhouse. Then you had the icons, you know, happy to work with you as well. You were in the mega alliance. You should have had so much more space to scheme to plot to move around in a world where the people like, you know, I was very hard on Mallory, but she put herself in a minority alliance in a lot of ways. And so she didn't have as much space and enough room as much room to play.

Dog didn't have that excuse. And so I find it really hard to really listen to her complaints about her difficult time in those first weeks and take them seriously. Yeah, yeah, I'll have plenty more to say about her interviews as we go on because those. Yeah, I'll have plenty more to say about that. All right, for now we can move on to Lala and I'm not entirely sure coming in that she understood all the scheming and strategizing that would be involved in big brother. I think she was only in three named alliances. There was Mama's Angels, which disappeared as quickly as its other members. The covenant, which I barely even remembered people talking about. And the honor society, which was a fake alliance to de-an-Angela that they only worried about when it suited. And I know there was a lot of people like complaining about their hypocrisy like, oh, it was real when you needed it, but it was fake when you didn't. That's a big brother.

Exactly. Yes. If you're going to complain about people being hypocritical on big brother. That's big brother like you just said. I mean, yes, it happens all the time. Basically none of those alliances went anywhere and yeah, she had Taylor. Sometimes she had Yash, although I think to him she was more of a number than an ally. She got along well with de-an-Angela. But again, that was mostly just a number thing when it came to strategy. They wanted to use her, what's the same way they wanted to use Haley. I think a big part of the problem was she didn't really know how to talk game. You know, and this, this, this has come up before like at one point in late July, she told Kamu that she just thought since they were cool, she didn't have to talk game with him. And she also talked about lying back in weight because the game is a marathon, not a sprint. But then she found herself all alone. And yes, that, that is a problem.

She's right. It is a marathon, not a sprint. Someone needed to tell that to devise. But that said, there's a reason rule one says while there is a strategy to lie back and let things happen around you for the first half of the season. Players still need to make those connections and alliances early. You will need to have allies to make sure you aren't nominated and evicted as an easy target who nobody will care about. Yeah. And she just didn't, she was able to really lock those allies in. Like you said, her alliances, they weren't a lot of them. And then most of them weren't really taking her seriously as a strategic element to it. I think in a lot of ways she showed herself to be a little bit of a liability in the game. So a lot of people didn't want to work with her. You know, if Lala went and said a little too much, did a little too much in these situations, kind of put you in a hot deed. A couple of times we saw that with Taylor. But she did, she definitely had moments where, you know, she was able to finally getting those rooms. And have the conversation like the, the commu alliance that she was in. You know, when they finally got commu on their side, it wasn't because Lala went and locked in commu.

It was because commu was looking for greener pastures because he had just been blindsided. And so he was going to the other side, hoping to shift the power away from the icons. And so she got picked up, you know, as a number. And so it looks like well, she was the H. Right. Exactly. Exactly. And, and, and, you know, and honestly, that's that is the benefit of when H. And so that's why we talk about people not throwing it because when you win the H. You become more attractive as an ally. It's the reason why people were willing to work with dog early on because early on dog. And these are the people who help power. So yeah, let's go work with them. We have no reason to rock the boat. Lala had a reason at that point to rock the boat. She, she got the H. We're coming to her. It's time to make some moves. And so she's scheming. She's plotted, but it's just not enough to really swing the. The momentum in their favor. It doesn't help that there's a diamond power of veto as well lurking around. But yeah, she definitely had a deficit when it comes to scheming and plotting overall. There are definitely moments where it just looked like Lala was hands off, but I will give her this.

The week of her demise when it was time to campaign Lala went to work this week. week. You know, and so it's really, that's why it's, it really is tough to see that, you know, with Devon's making such a blunder with Lala finally being active in the game, you know, the results were exactly what, you know, the opposite of what you would think they would have been. Yeah. You know, she did, like you just said, even though the tide was so overwhelming against Devon's, she was smart to plan in case Devon's one blockbuster, even Julie or her Q card intern said, you campaigned so hard over the last 24 hours and she did. She even used some advice from Angela and how best to focus it. But, you know, she, she said she was always on the bottom and she was, again, she just didn't really to that point. Like you said in that text to me, this week did not tell the tale. And, you know, whatever that is, we know what her strategy was. It was pretending to be as she said, hashtag

confused. But she admitted to Julie, it wasn't all pretending, which was something that we had surmised here a few weeks ago. Doing that can certainly reduce your threat level. It can also make people weary of working with you. Taylor said in the August 7, second episode, Lala doesn't understand anything in this game and it feels like I'm playing this game for two. Another time she said, I feel like I'm sorry and Lala's Jared, which outch, outch. She added that Lala was jeopardizing her game and even went so far as to say that if Lala went home, she wouldn't be disappointed. And then even Chuck had similar feelings and yes, he's Chuck. He's as clueless as they come. But he also told Mike Bloom about a time when, quote, she wanted us to have a truth circle with all the house guests to reveal all the truths. Why would we do that? Why would we reveal our alliances? Now, was she acting in that moment? I don't know. Was she acting during the tea party when she kept asking those questions?

She later claimed she was, I doubted it at the time I still do. I really think that was part of the time she had no idea what was really happening. I think overall we could say she understood more about strategizing in the game than she led on. But maybe not too much. Yeah. And I think, and it will get to this in the next rule, but I think that she got her hand cotton to cookie jar a couple of times to where it made her a little shell shot to be strategizing as much. You know, she, it's kind of you step in it and everybody tells you like, what are you doing? What are you doing that? And then you like, all right, I'm gonna just stop. I'm gonna just stop all together. And like you almost like overcorrect in a way where now, you're a little too afraid to mess with anybody else or mess up anybody else's game or your people or people are telling you, don't do that. Don't, don't scheme. Don't plot. You know, we definitely saw that. But you, I think in your rule, you talk about the difference between making friends and making alliances, right? And we can talk about how Taylor and Lala seemingly have an amazing friendship. But when it came time for an alliance, Taylor is looking at Yash as her confidant

when it comes to that kind of stuff. And Yash and Taylor are literally sitting around saying, what if we vote out Lala, you know, when do we get rid of her? You know, and you would think, if this person says, it's a lawyer ally, that you wouldn't want to get rid of them. Why would you want your ally gone unless you think that you can't beat them? And so for Taylor to look at Lala as almost like a liability, it just goes to show you that there was a deficit when it came to what Lala was bringing to that alliance. He was definitely there physically, but strategically not so much. Yeah, even when she was H.O.H. You know, we were all happy she got rid of Chuck, but it didn't help her overall game. Dulfika, who creates amazing alliance maps. Yeah. To Blue Sky at the time to note, how has Lala used her H.O.H. to improve her position? She's in no new alliances. She's made no new allegiances. I don't think she brokered much protection from next week's block. She made history for winning the ball. Amazing, but her gameplay is elementary. I had to agree with all of that. Even when she was in power, she didn't know how to wield that power. I mean, if you use

your H.O.H. to take out Chuck, you know, I don't really know what else to say. You know, in like, it's not again, not to say that Chuck was not a threat to Lala's game, but there had to be bigger threats. There had to be like, there had to be somebody else that you could put up. I mean, we talk about people not putting up all the icons. Lala, you had every opportunity to put all the icons up. And so that's why when that follow when we comes up, everybody's like, they're hypocrites. Why are they coming after Lala? They're not lying. So like, because it wasn't real, it was never a real alliance. It was just to save themselves for that one week. And so yeah, it's just tough. And when she when she had the opportunity, she just wasn't able to really take the big swing and to land it the way she was supposed to. And it's funny because you know, it's like in a way, it's easier to loop for someone like Lala than it is. So for somebody like dog, because at least Lala is trying to be pleasant in the house. So you want to see, you know, pleasant things happen to pleasant people. But you know, there's only so much of the bad gameplay that you can ignore before you're just like rooting for somebody who has no chance of winning the game. Yeah.

All right, we can move on to rule two, which says not to scheme and plot too much and to keep your scheming secret. I mentioned in rule one. And of course, we all know this that Haley had a very obvious alliance. Yet she had the gall to tell Drew at one point that there was no alliance between her Chuck and Kamu saying, there's no three. Now mind you, Drew already knew about the red corner alliance at this point. And when the tool shed blew up, she was encouraged by people to separate from Chuck. So she wouldn't be seen as being in an obvious duo. I think you referred to this earlier. We saw Kamu know he had to dump them. She wouldn't do it until it was done for her by them voting Chuck out. And even then her and Chuck sit there with their clown noses on like being like, oh, yeah, Kamu, he's not, we should pick Kamu for the video. That'll be great. He's going to take us down. You know, like, where are we at? Y'all, you got to wake up, wake up. It's so, yeah,

for a dog, her alliances were very clear to the point where she didn't even know like she thought that they were so solidified and they weren't, you know, with Kamu, it should have been a parent that he was jumping ship on them. And they picked him for the video. He wanted the video and didn't even use it, you know, it's so it just shows you that she wasn't really locked in. But the people that she was working with, everyone knew, everyone knew. No one was ever going to put up, you know, oh, well, we need, we need, Hayley to go home. So we need to put up, I don't know, devins and Drew. Like, no one's, no one's going to do that, right? They knew if you put up one, you had to put up the other two. It was just way too public of an alliance. And because she didn't have any other alliances really, it was the tool shed or bust. And if the tool shed was only the turn on her, which they all were, except for Chep. We say all were, you know, there was really no else for her to go. Yeah. And part of it was, you know, it was so obvious because she was not at all the slightest bit careful about saying things she shouldn't have. I already mentioned her telling Kamu, she was going to do something that was good for herself and she and care if it was good for

the alliance. But also personal things like repeatedly saying negative things about melody to Drew. Drew, you're saying negative things about melody. It showed that she just didn't care what other people thought and she was willing to spread anything. Yeah. There were definitely moments where, you know, the personal stuff really came into play where she would just say things in front of people or two people about there, the people that they're close to, right? Like, you mentioned lyric earlier, but it feels like a lot of ways lyric going home was because Haley was just personally not invested in her and as like a player, right? Like it was like to the point where the person who was out, out weighing what lyric could bring to her game, you know, you have Kamu, her ally being like, Hey, please, let's save lyrics. She's willing to work with it. But she's like, yeah, but you want to save her too much. You're my ally, but you want to, you want to save her. So that means I should get rid of her. He's like, no, I want us to be a stronger alliance. We need to keep her around. It's like, yeah, but what I'm hearing is we don't need to keep her around because

you want to keep her, you know, it's like, Hey, had lyrics made, maybe you would have had that extra number. Y'all need it. The following week, you don't know, you know, we can't ever figure out what, what if could have should have happened. But you definitely eliminate that option when you are alienating your allies. Maybe Kamu would have stayed with you. Had you not so blatantly went against what he wanted with the lyric thing, you know, there might be something to that. And so with her just being so I guess just I don't want to say bullish, but yeah, I guess so bullish, you know, where she just she was with dogs and ghosts, right? There was like no wiggle room to her. We'll talk about that. Sure. I'm sure in another rule. But yeah, with it just being so apparent where where she stayed or where she lied with other people in their personal relationships, but also strategic relationships. It was very easy to clock, you know, her position in the game, even if she couldn't. Yeah. And part of that was of course her HOHitis, you know, when she became HOH, she made a bunch of proclamations saying nobody could use her shower. You can't listen to my

music. You know, she banned some from the HOH room and her snacks. You know, she we we saw it, her chugging wine directly from the bottle while giving orders and edicts. It just emphasized the idea that she was this mad queen. Yeah. And she was right. And who wants this game and plot with that person? You know, like nobody wants to play with you. You know, you again, it's not about friendships, but you have to be open and welcoming to people to have these strategy conversations. If you don't want to do that, that's fine as you're operative in the game. But when we start asking the question like, okay, what could you have done differently strategically? You're trying to kick a lot of our Taylor out of the house out of your room. You know, I'm saying when it's time for your HOH basket and all this comes up. Those are the people you're trying to isolate. Well, look, when Kamu flips and leaves you high and dry, where'd he go to Lala and Taylor? It's almost like had you not done that and you were more welcoming to those people. Maybe he flips and they don't vote

you out. You know, are they are they're willing to take you in with them? No, they voted out chug and you still didn't have an alliance with them. You know, you were still going to be at the bottom of whatever that was. Kamu was willing to take you back, but you didn't have any say so in that. Right, right. All right, switching to Lala, I'm tempted to say she didn't have a problem here because she wasn't scheming enough, but everyone did know she was a tight pair with Taylor, although as you pointed out, you know, strategy, friendship, hard to say, but it led to them both being nominated against each other in weeks seven and eight. Can you think of any other ways in which she did too much? Hell yeah. Let's let's can we talk about week one? The first person we see saying these icons got to go on the show, not in a corner, not in the storage unit, not, you know, not in the bedroom, but at the damn table, Angela, she's got to go, why are you saying that publicly? Jason,

Lala, where does that get you? It's like, yes, yes. Obviously, a lot of people are going to want to target these icons because they are big threats, but telling the icons that in a game where let's take history of the game into consideration, people who are past players, returning players, you know, stuck casting, they often get advantages just from that. So you're already plenty of lag against the people who are most likely to be helped by America, whether you, you know, we've seen people siblings helped by America just based off the street because we know that person a little bit. It's a Lala, you come in immediately announcing, not just talking about it, but basically making it public that you were anti-icons, it really does push you into a minority house because the alliance is the icon is coming in as a alliance of three, you know, alliance of three automatically. Now they just need some savvy super fans to come with them on this journey or some sheep to come with them on this journey and you've made yourself so apparently against them. D wins the first HOH. It's almost like you shouldn't have said I want to target the icons because now D knows that

you're not willing to work with her, but it's worse than that because they knew at that point already that one of the icons was going was going to be the HOH, right? And so it's like to be that publicly just anti-icon, it does put you in a little corner. This is okay with these other people who we know we can target, right? There's no question about it because Lala said it with her own mouth and she didn't say it once. Lala has said that she was targeting the icons multiple times, you know, Lala is often bringing like the little round tables where we got everybody in the room. Y'all know it's got to be D-next. It's got to be this person next. We saw Taylor running in the shower at some points when Lala is talking to the ops. She's talking to Drew. She's talking to Barrett. People who they've already suspected of playing both sides and Lala is like, all right, y'all, now that we're all in here, trustworthy. Let's talk about who we're going to put the target on next. So when those people walk out of the room and don't tell all your business, Lala is shocked. Oh, no, wait, Drew, Drew is a snake. Yeah, he was a snake when he came in your room and he's a snake now. And that's

why Taylor went in the shower because she knew that you were bringing in people you couldn't trust. There was so much of this going on with Lala's game to the point where you would see Lala say something and immediately after telling us that, why did you do that? Why are you saying these things? Why are you connecting us so hard in the game? There are moments where we can separate. There are moments that don't have to be tied to us. Lala was not always on top of keeping those things secret. Yeah. And that is exactly how you can be someone who doesn't skim and plot enough in one way, but you do too much in the other way. That's why I said, I think she got her hand-con of cookie jar. When you get and managed for doing these things, it makes you not want to do them things, right? You step out a little bit, but you do it too much. And so I was like, all right, now you stop. So she stops. And now the game is moving around her. The game is moving around her. But it's like, you have to you have to skim and plot, but not too much, right? Like that's the whole point. There's a balance there, right? You can't do it not at all, but you can't do it too much. And Lala was either or,

right? She was either all in or all out. And in those times, she was alienating people here, and then she was isolating herself. And so she was ever able to build a lot of bonds. Yeah. All right, we could go to the third world, which talks about the need to be flexible. Now, Chappelle, Haley, well known in the house for going with the flow, right? There's nothing flexible about Haley. This is this is this is this is a, you know, this is it. There's nothing there. There's nothing there. I like, she tried sometimes, but the Haley attempts are so small. You know, there was like maybe like a four day period where it looked like her and Taylor could probably work together. But that was it. That was it. There was never a time where I thought Haley and Melody were going to work together. Haley and Lyric obviously had their things to it. They couldn't work together. Haley and Mallory, that very little overlap between these people. You know, if I'm going to be hard on Mallory for not being able to make these other sides, you know, feel good about her. You've got to be mad about Haley. And Haley was so just rigid in

her gameplay that her allies are playing around her, you know, Chuck two. Haley and Chuck were right there in the middle, not moving. And then you have Drew and and Barrett out there playing alongside of a fat. You have the icons playing alongside with Drew and Barrett outside of Haley and Chuck. And Chuck, then you have Kamu running away from them throwing them under the bus, not using the veto and them trying to work with other people. You got Haley and Chuck just sitting there just like sitting ducks just nothing else. Even Chuck tried a little bit, you know, he did try to cook out his way into a alliance with Taylor and Lala really quickly and it just didn't work. But Haley, she didn't look like anybody that anybody could really work with to the point where they wanted to keep her around because she was a number. There's like she's never going to work with the other side. She's not going to flip. But there was a certain point where they just knew listen, if we could just get her back, she ain't going nowhere. And they were right. And and her ex-adgressive press, she said, if I could have sat in the final two, it probably would have been

with devins. Why? Why? Why would you want to do that? Well, what winning scenario is that for you, Haley? It's not a white scenario. I think she'd give it up on winning. Yeah, exactly. It's not a winning scenario. She was just going to go with the people that she liked. She like, all right, whatever. I'll just go with the people who were willing to take me long enough. And maybe I can cut Angela along the way. But like that was it. She had no other gameplay. You would think that she'd like, all right. And then in the final jury, I was going to try to swing over it and work with the people who aren't as good as challenges as I am. Maybe melody, maybe a tailor, you know, maybe la la, maybe, you know, there's just certain people having won a beret. And you know, like there are people that you can swing over to and say, okay, now we have the power because I'm working with y'all. She had none of that. She was just there. Yeah. Yeah. She was definitely not an easy going type who could adjust to different plans coming up. She wanted things to go one way, her way period. It goes back to when she was the queen, you know, which extended long beyond her HOH ring.

And then there was la la, who some might say was infinitely flexible because she didn't really know what was happening much of the time. Are you one of those people? Flexible stuff because I don't know if I can give you credit for flexibility if you're being dragged into different things. You know, like I would like to see la la take the initiative to go make alliances on her own that, but you know, even then the alliances that she made, they weren't strong. They were just, you know, like her going and having conversation with people, often giving them too much information and not really allowing them to kind of be in a place where they could really build anything. So no, I don't know if I could give la la flexibility points because at the end of the day, we still know who our targets were. Our target was the same people, the entire game. They never changed. It was always going to be true. It was always going to be a drew. It was always going to be the icons. That was it. There was never a point where it was like, okay, la la, what if you targeted, you know, how do you benefit from targeting melody? How do you benefit from targeting Mallory? It was like, there was never going to be a time where that was feasible for her because she was

ever able to make those in roles. She did get into a couple of alliances that, you know, like we say, I have names, but those alliances were still tied with Taylor, you know, and if it's you and Taylor as a block, it's not as flexible as it would be if you were making these connections on your all. And so yeah, she wasn't as rigid as dog, but it's not like she was the picture of flexibility. Yeah, I did like her ability to switch her plans when new information came around while she was HOH. You know, like she had planned to keep Chuck C. for example, but then listen to what Kamu had to say and switch things up. I'm not sure it was the right choice to listen to him, but they're all gone now, so I guess it worked out either way. Yeah, she all lived there. And that's the thing too. Yeah, she was, Lala will take in new information because I think after a while she was questioning her own ability and her own judgment in the game, right? So Taylor talks about how she was basically the Lala controller, right? Like I got Lala when HOH came up, people were saying, well, this is Taylor's HOH. We saw Taylor say it on the show, like hey, I got I'm the HOH this week

because she knew that Lala would go in the direction that she wanted to. So I guess there's a level of flexibility there, but I really wish a lot of that was more Lala's doing as opposed to other people enacting their will on Lala. Yeah, yeah. Well, the fourth rule says players should not let their emotions control them. And by Haley's own admission in post game interviews, she had big problems here. For example, she told Dalton Ross, I don't feel like I actually played Big Brother the way I thought I was going to play. I took a lot of things personally. Ooh, Shocker, she took things personally. And she said essentially the same thing to everyone else because most of her answers were clearly scripted ahead of time so she could avoid saying the wrong thing. Chair a little bit of time. Yeah, yeah, exactly. A little bit of time. Certainly I can almost guarantee some training. Say this. Don't say that. Address. She had her phone back before she did the Exit Press. Yeah. That's watching episode. That's why that's why that doesn't happen online. Yeah, that doesn't happen often. She was making like TikToks and stuff. I will not make it.

Yeah, I think she made a TikTok before she did her Exit Press. Uh, or no, she was commenting on two times before she did her Exit Press. I'm sorry. Yeah. So it's like, yeah, I just don't, that's gotta be abnormal, right? Oh, yeah. It's totally because they didn't want to keep her locked up for four or five days, whatever it turned out to be. Yeah. And I mean, there was even one point in the RHAP interview where she said, well, I don't know that I'm allowed to talk about that. And it's like you're allowed, you know, and Taryn tried to say, well, it's your impression. So, yes, you're allowed to. I don't know if she meant allowed per the rules or allowed per the media training that she had gotten, you know, I, it's my counsel, the latter. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I wouldn't be shocked if she loyed up. Yeah. With the prize me, you know, yeah. Now the funny thing was that inside the game, Haley accused D of all people of not being able to separate game and emotion. And this takes us back to what I said in rule one about her being completely unable to see what

was going on around her. But that also extended to not being able to see what was going on with herself. As we and the other players were constantly treated to her complaining about how she'd been in the worst position every week, even when she was H-O-H or her tight allies were claiming she had been dragged since day one, which I mean, okay, probably true when it came to someone like me talking about her here on the outside, but she had no way of knowing that at the time and she was referring to the game. I had high hopes for her when she would say stuff like that to D, right? Like, this is a game. This is a game. These moves should not be emotional. This is that you take that out of this and just know that this is a game. She said that and it's like, yeah, I think she's right. But then when it's her turn to take emotion out of stuff, she would go into moves and say, no, this is personal. Yeah. Okay. Well, by you admitting this personal, you can agree that it might

not be the best strategic choice. You know, this goes back to what Julie was saying to Chuck. Chuck, who would you target if you if you won't stay in one H-O-H? He said, Lala, do you think that would be the best strategic choice for you? Lala that you said is not a threat to your game and that cannot win anything that you think that is the correct choice. And Chuck had to sit with that. I would say the same thing to Haley, you know, when you're in these positions and you have somebody like Lala who's trying to apologize to you, it's almost like maybe accept the apology, whether you believe it or not and then move forward and try to make some type of game relationship happen. And then if you cannot, then you go and you target that person because you say there's nothing there. You don't immediately shoot a dad and be like, you know what? I'm not talking about it. I don't want to I don't want your apology. I don't want what part of the game is that? You know, you know, you want to talk about being rigid. Those are the types of moments where you have the ability. Someone is offering you an olive branch to be able to pivot and you are not taking it because you are sowing your feelings about God knows what that you're not able to make this stuff happen.

Olive branch? What's an olive branch? You know what we don't have to get this. I don't think we saw that on the show, but live feet people though. She had no clue what an hot branch actually was. None. What is that a shock to anybody? Not that she's like, she's incapable of understanding that somebody would reach across and say, let me be kind to you. Let me try to like, like to put some of this stuff at bay. These harsh feelings. Not Haley. Haley's like, no, it's to death, you know, whatever this beef is I have with you until I win, it's on site every time. Yeah. Yeah. In her interviews with, of course, the benefit of being out of the game for a few days and clearly doing some perusing online as we discussed, she acknowledged that now it seems silly looking back for her to be saying those things. But that was how she felt emotionally. And even if it wasn't really related to what happened in

the game, I'd like to say I'm glad she now realizes this. But again, her interview answers were so rehearsed and pre-planned. I don't know that we can truly believe that's what she thinks. Yeah, I didn't, I hated her interview question, answers so much because it's like, you ask her something about the game and she would immediately start to backtrack on some of the things she said and did it personally. It's like, wait, we're still talking about the game relationship. Like, is there anything you would do differently? Well, yeah, the things that I said about like, oh, we're talking about in order to keep you from being in this spot. What are the things that you would have done differently? But you're already trying to make the conversations that you have with Taylor Goalway. You're already backtracking on your bubbly comments from the preseason, right? That's what caught me, of course. Yeah, people keep talking about how I said I was bubbly, but I was tired that day. Hey, Lee, we don't care. We don't care. We're so far past that. We want to know, how you ended up in this point in the game. Yes, you're not the bubbly person that you thought you were.

Maybe you were tired that day. Maybe it wasn't fair to you that you were doing the interviews that day. Five, but that we don't care. We're not asking about that. We're asking about the game, but you're already trying to save face by, you know, responding to things that you've seen online, criticism that you've seen online. And it's not interesting that at all when it comes to her gameplay. I mean, that's part of the script. She was following a script. And I may have mentioned this once before. So there was one time when I was at work, I was working with a lawyer who was, shall we say, not very bright? And she was, but we gave her the task of questioning a witness in a hearing procedure. And so she did the equivalent of she had scripted, okay, because we knew she needed a script. And she basically, this was how it went. She looked at the witness and said, what is one plus one? And the witness said one plus one is two. However, two plus two is four.

She goes back to her script and she says, what is two plus two? She had no ability to conceptualize that answer that question had already been answered. Right. And that's how I feel about Haley doing these. She had a script and she was sticking to that script. It didn't matter what question was asked of her. She went according to what she had prepared for. And yeah, that was it. And, you know, so like she, you know, going back to her game, when she was in danger in the game, the emotion of it all was too much for her. You know, the week she was nominated, the very night before the eviction. She said on live feed, she didn't want to campaign because she'd been so strong and she was this close to losing it. And she'd had such a rough time. I think that's similar to how she did her interviews. She shut down. She didn't want to deal with the emotion that she was seeing out there in the real world.

She shut down. A reason I don't do a lot of arguing is because I can't stand when somebody wants to argue with you and to argue back. And then all of a sudden, the conversation to merge, I don't want to go there with you. I don't want to make it personal. Wait a minute. You wanted to talk, you said your piece, but now when I say my piece, it's a problem. You know, I don't like that. And that's the worst. And that's a reason why I don't engage a lot of times. People say, seven, I'm like, hey, I'm not doing this with you because you I can already tell you're not willing to talk this through with me. And so for Haley, there was a lot of that, right? And even when you talk about like, you know, it's like her combination of being rigid, but also being emotional. Once she decided that she emotionally had nothing else for you, that was it. There was nothing that you could do to crack that that armor that she put up on that wall, going back to the lyric conversations. Lyric is sitting there throwing herself at your mercy. And you have your ally saying Lyric is throwing herself at your mercy. And he was like, no, but this is a perfect time for me to take out Lyric because y'all like her too much. And I can already tell, it's like, wait a minute. You know, take your take your personal feelings about Kamu and Lyric out of the game for just a

second and think about, okay, what does it look like if we have this person who shown that they're relatively capable and competitions on our side, you know, and maybe you can make an ally with Lyric, you know, a stronger ally with Lyric, because she's willing to throw her other friends on the bus. Maybe this is your chance to pick up a piece because right now all you have is Chuck. And so, but she was so help bent on either punishing Kamu for flirting with Lyric or, you know, punishing Lyric for trying to weasel away into the alliance. And she wasn't able to see the benefit that Lyric had brought to her game. She was too emotionally invested and just keeping Lyric boxed out. So now Lyric is gone and that did nothing to advance Hayley's game. Yeah, yeah. All right, switching to Lala, I do think she took things emotionally at times. I mean, we've talked about, you know, various reasons why. And so yeah, okay, there was some good reasons for that because there was a lot of times that they were not strategic things being said to or

about her. How do you think she handled it overall? It wasn't great. It wasn't great. I mean, I feel like anybody in a situation where you feel like the house is against you constantly based on their actions, not your perceived thoughts, dog. But, you know, like, but based on the way people are talking to you, right? Not so much about you behind your back because there's only so much you can know. But when they're coming to you to your face and telling you things like, you know, your liability is game. We don't want to work with you too closely because you keep blowing everything up. Don't just get in the kitchen and cook, you know, and don't worry about that. Let us do the strategizing and stuff like that. When you start saying stuff like that to my face, then yeah, I'm probably going to take it a little personally. But again, I will give her a more credit because she was willing to go to somebody like thog and be like, hey, I know we have our differences, but let's see what we can move forward. You know, like that was Lala initiating that kind of conversation. We saw the same thing with Angela. Her and Angela were not always on the same page. By the time she was leaving the house, Angela was willing to go to bet for Lala,

you know, in the world where thog probably would never have done that. And so, you know, there were definitely some emotional connections that were made with Lala that were definitely stronger than the ones that were made with thog, you know, Lala and Taylor were able to bond emotionally. She was able to be a rock for people when they were down. I seen her, you know, she's hugged plenty of people while they were having their moments. And so she was able to, I guess, regulate her emotions to an extent. But the roller coaster she was on, I'll give her a little bit more credit. I think that she, she had to deal with a lot more turmoil. And so when it came time to make her moves, maybe because she was not as emotionally stable in the game as she would have liked to be, she did have other people who were there to steer her, right? That's why Taylor said, this is my HOH because even though Lala might say some of the things emotionally, I'm going to come in as a cooler head and prevail. So yeah, I think that there's definitely things she could have worked on, but it's not as bad as Haley. Yeah, I agree. She certainly dealt with it far better than Haley. And she took the brunt

of things worse than Haley in reality in Haley's mind. Of course, she was, you know, the worst all the time. But in reality, that wasn't the situation. And sure, her emotions got to her at times. But there were times when people were poking at her and Taylor, like they were saying, they're going to blow up. They're going to blow up. And then they finally did. Well, it's a normal human reaction. If you keep poking at someone, they're going to eventually, yes, you're going to prod them into that happening. This is a particular thing that annoys me because it's happened to me as well, not the same sorts of accusations. And we're the same reasons. But yeah, people will be like, oh, you know, you don't want to make them angry and then people keep prodding. Then you get angry. See, see, you got angry. Just like I knew you would. It's like, what did you expect? Yeah. And we've talked about the microaggressions in the house before. But you know, there are

definitely things that are utilized against minority groups to villainize them in a way that it's outside of the game. I like to kind of think of it like if everybody is on the same playing field, then you should be able to use the same tactics against everybody. But you know, these people's identity starts to be the reason why that they're just inherently threatening to certain people, right? There's a reason why everybody, every past big brother player they compare Taylor to was just a random black woman winner. You know, it's like, oh, yeah, she's Ashley. Oh, she's Taylor Hale. It's like, oh, she's Chelsea. It's like, oh, how? Yeah. You know, and so for people like Lala, she got different types of, you know, things said about her that just don't feel good, you know, for thought to say, oh, yeah, I've been dragged to the mud. It's like not really not in comparison to some of these other people. You know, maybe you have, maybe you didn't enjoy the things you heard said about you. Maybe somebody leaked the things we were saying about you outside the house inside the house. You still would have to say, okay, well, those things were outside the house. Look at what's being said about Lala inside the house to her face behind her back the environment that

y'all like are contributing to by saying and doing these things. You know, like it's not like when you are saying microaggressions against people that if they don't hear it, it doesn't hurt. It starts to be an environment where the actions and the way you move toward them and around them start to permeate throughout the house to where you can feel the awkwardness when you walk in a room. You can feel the way people are looking at it. And maybe Todd did feel some of that too, right? Because after a while, people just didn't like her. You know, I think Yash was saying that she had a bad spirit. You know, it's like when you walk in a room and there's a dark cloud over you based on your own actions, I can understand why you would be upset. But also it was your actions that got you there with Lala and with Taylor to an extent. There were a lot of times where they were walking the room and being accused of something that they've never even displayed while other people who were not from the same minority group of them could get away with those things. Why are Lala and Taylor looked at it so volatile when Angela can just walk around having knock out drag out fights with her allies, her enemies and everybody else. And people still be welcoming them in and no one's tiptoeing around them. So yeah, there was definitely another layer into that that I

would say Lala, she handled it the best that she could, but she was going through something that a lot of people don't have to deal with in big brother. Right. I think that that, you know, leads us nicely into the fifth rule, which talks about players needing to pretend to be nice in playing the social game because, oh boy, do we have opposite ends of the spectrum here? We have Haley, whose social game was so bad that the nickname thog stuck immediately outside the house and even made it to the announcer. And we have Lala, who I could actually see ending up as America's favorite player. Yeah. You know, starting with Haley, I mentioned before that I thought, omers a here, hit the nail on the head by describing her on an RHAP recap as effortlessly unlikable. And Whit on Blue Sky answered the first part of the question in this rule back on July 18th when Jason was trying to make amends with her. This I think goes back to the same type of thing you

were talking about with refusal to accept an apology. And Whit said thog cannot even pretend to be nice. So what do you think of both Umher and Whit's assessment and thogs overall social game? I can't think of a time where she did pretend to be nice. You know, that's the thing. I like to come here and look at, okay, here's the things that they did poorly, but also hear the things they did well. And for her, this is one of, if not the most glaring example of like why she did poorly in the game is that the people that she liked, they knew the people that she didn't like, they knew. The people that she wasn't working with, everybody knew, you know, the people she wasn't, you know, the people she was talking to everybody knew. And it's because like she wasn't able to fake it. You could come into a room, have a conversation with Heli and you walk out the room being like she does not like it, you know, she's not like me. She's not a fan. There was never a time where Lala thought, well, maybe if Heli went, she won't put me up. I think when Yash goes into the, oh, let's talk about the direct way this affected this week. Yash goes in to the to the medieval

competition in order to take out Heli because Yash knows that Heli winning is going to, like directly lead to Lala leaving. That is a direct example of what will happen. There is no question of it. So like at that point, Yash is like, okay, at least this way we got two chances to keep Lala. We're going to Lala's in here. I'm going to be in here as well. You could say, Taylor's probably not the the copies that the other two have been proven to be. And so yeah, now we have two chances to save you because we know that Heli is going to take you out. There's not a question of it. Yash, Yash knew going into that into that competition that he was not the one in danger. He knew that it was going to be Lala. So he could take that risk, you know, and try to take out Heli. She could only eliminate one person and she and we all knew who was going to be. It's because like she can't help it. Maybe if Heli was not so staunchly against Lala, Yash says, I'm not willing to put myself in that position because what if it's me? What if I'm the one that gets you straight here? No, he knew good and well. What was happening? It's almost like a riskless move

for him. Let me come in and make sure that one of these two women don't get eliminated and we knew which one that it was going to be. So I think, you know, we've talked a lot about the things that Heli did poorly in the game. But all of those things led to her being somebody who you got to come in and take them out to save Lala. That is the last thing that you know if you're in the Yash spot. Like, hey, I could let somebody else go in here. But I know even if they come in and loot and win, it's still going to be Lala. I need to be the one to come in. Lala needs to be the one to come in and take out dog or she's going to take out Lala. It's just a fact. And so, yeah, she didn't lose because she got voted out for not scheming and plotting a lot. But because of the actions that she did and all these other rules, people knew exactly where she stood it. Yeah, yeah. There are truly so many things to say about fog in this rule. So many examples, I again had to cut down the ones that I'll mention. Even so, I have a pretty decent list here. Right from the get go. She did not make a good initial impression. Like, even though

Dean Angela ended up in the red corner and tool shed together with her at the start, De said of her, it's ego. It's, I don't even bleeping. No, I hate that pitch. Angela replied, do you know how hard it is for me to be nice to her? She thinks I'm a bleeping idiot. Now, of course, they weren't the only two when Hailey would decide to speak to someone outside of Chogmoo. Pretty much everyone couldn't stand her. Taylor at one point told thog that every time she tried to work with the cool kids, they kicked her in the face. And she said, you get kicked in the face enough and you get the idea. Then I go to the other side and they don't kick me in the face. But of course, Hailey didn't understand what Taylor was talking about. And that was the pattern. Hailey being, as you said, consistently against Lala and Taylor. July 16th, live feeds. She said things were coming to the point where she couldn't be in a room with Lala because quote, she's so loud. July 23rd, live feeds. She said, Lala just brings too much

unneeded tension. August 11 live feeds. She said, I don't think I even said a mean thing about Cruella referring, of course, to Lala. Yeah, that's not mean at all. You know, and again, other people hear this, right? This is not stuff she's saying in secret to herself, to the camera talk. There's a reason why Jason was picking on her the most when he started to beat the Tee, the Tee Pee, the Tee kettle, you know, because he knew it's getting under her skin specifically. There were other people who were able to fake it like it didn't bother them as much. You know, they hated the sounds that they were making, but they weren't willing to give their energy to what Jason was obviously doing to cause a disrupting the house. But not dog. If you go, if you keep buzzing, I'm going to lose it. I'm going to, you know, I was like, hey, hey, how about you pretend that it doesn't bother you. And then maybe he will leave you alone because that's the game. And so, yeah, she just kind of, if anything, like I said, if anything is the nail in the coffin for her game and why she can't win, it's, it's things like this. Yeah. Yeah. Now I just mentioned a,

you know, Lala, you know, Haley calling Lala a name while at the same time claiming she never said a mean thing. And this was a consistent delusion. Similar to the others, we've just discussed previously. She said things like there's a way to play big brother and a way to be a mean girl. I would never play with someone who's mean to have that persona is just mean. Okay, first of all, needs a resource. Second of all, what? Uh, on August 11th, she told Yash, nobody ever has a reason to dislike me. It just is what it is. Then she told Chuck a little later, I wish I was mean, that would make this game funner. On August 13th, she said, I haven't been a bitch once this entire season. And then when Taylor happened to walk in at that time, she said, I was just talking about how kind I've been all season, which is particularly funny because Taylor and Lala couldn't stand her. After she won HOH, they talked about what a bitch she was. Lala later told Angela, she could give

two shits if she ever sees her again in her life. Quote, she's shown who she is and it's disgusting. I don't like disgusting people and so on. And you know, this is clearly comes from real life. This is not just as she claimed in her interviews, the emotions of the game, because she came into the game saying, well, people are often intimidated by me because of your, by my tattoos. It ain't your tattoos, Hayley and intimidation. It's the way you behave. I, well, all of us on Blue Sky, heard from a person who knows Hayley in real life. I did a video on it. In fact, it is the best performing video so far. The season for me, she, this person through the Blue Sky participant, talked about Hayley from college and how she behaved and some incidents since college. This is not just because of how she was in the house. This is Hayley.

Yeah, it's an introspection. Wouldn't hurt, you know, at this point. It just wouldn't. Because again, the people in the house are in your alliance and they're talking about you. The people in your alliance, you're the, that we'd never see that. Somebody in alliance with somebody who they actively dislike, it just doesn't happen. Because normally, people gravitate to the people that they're the most like or that they that they enjoy. And I don't think I've ever heard an alliance talking that bad about somebody who they were working with so closely. And so, yeah, she was getting talked about by her alliance of, you know, in the professionals in the Diagram, you know, to each other whenever she wasn't around. And like I said, maybe she could feel some of that. But because, because she was such an albatross, you know, in the house. And then, you know, for the people watching the live feeds, we too could see the things that she would say in the way she would treat people. We're like, what is wrong with her? You know, what's wrong with Hayley? And so, I, I definitely think that if anybody did not have a grasp of how they were coming off, either probably before and and since plan Big Brother, it's probably her. And I think that, yeah,

she probably needs to look a little bit more inward and find out like, okay, what is it about me? Because it's not about tattoos. So, what is it about me that made me so polarized in this game? What's, why is Jason going viral for making fun of me as a, and, you know, in drag? You know, why are people rooting so against me? Is there something I might have said or done? Or is it just me, you know, and is there anything I can do to change that? I really hope that she's able to find some space to explore that. Yeah, I hope so too, but, you know, like you said, that part that we already talked about wasn't the only portion she was delusional about. She and Chuck talked about how being in Big Brother was quote, literally like being homeless sitting outside on L.A. streets. Nobody has your interested heart. No, it's literally not anything like being homeless. She also talked with Chuck about how she was the only one in the house with a storyline and she said they were Janelle and Howie. What? No. And of course, she repeatedly accused Lala of

bullying her, which was absolutely ridiculous and she even had to admit that in interviews. I say had to. I mean, she probably was told, yeah, you better take that one back and do some damage control. Yeah, you know, we talked about emotion, but you know, there definitely has to be a caveat at some point, just for the, I mean, the word ego itself, right? Like because to this season alone, we've seen ego play so much into the way these people play. And we've been kind of questioning it like, does ego count as an emotion? And honestly, it's got to be in there at this point, because we saw people who will they won't strategize with certain people because they're above it. They won't work with these other people because they're above it. They're the main characters of their story, so there can't possibly be, so they have to be getting a power soon. They have to, all these things have to be lining up for them because they're the most important person here. We saw, like you said, the Janelle and Howie comparison is crazy. You know, America was rooting for them. Bar none. And Janelle was not a nice person in the house. You know, I'm saying she was nice to her friends,

but she also had a lot of detractors. But again, they were the main person in that storyline for what America won it. You are not. But why do you think that you are? Why do you automatically feel that way? And even if you did, why are you allowing that to affect your gameplay in the house? You know, let's say you are the Janelle and Howie. Okay. Well, maybe change. Do something different. Did Janelle and Howie win the game? No. Janelle Janelle is the best to never win. Yeah, three times. I say, yeah, you know, I'm saying like four times, four times, right? Three, four, four times. You know, so it's kind of like, Hey, maybe try to be somebody else. If you feel like that's your story right now. Again, I just, yeah, that ego has been whipping people's asses this season. Because all the people who were at the top in that red corner alliance, Chuck, Kamu, and now thug, they all were high on their own supply for a long time. And that definitely hindered their game. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, Hailey said in her interviews that she owns everything

she said and would never want to make people feel a certain way. But here's the thing. So she's continuing this poor social game, even outside the house. She never said what she owned or how it made them feel is an absolute BS non-apology. Just putting words together doesn't actually demonstrate that you mean it. And the fact that you did not come out and say, what was that conversation with Taylor that you didn't want to have? What did Taylor tell you that you made her feel like? What are you supposedly owning? It's like when someone says, I apologize if I did something that made you feel something wrong. No, no, there's no if. You're apologizing because you've already been told you did something wrong. I apologize for anything that I did. No, that means you don't know what you did, which means it's not an apology because how could you apologize if you don't know what you did? Yeah. All the types of things that

she was saying, they're meaningless. Hi, Hailey. All right. Well, I do want to say circling back to finish off discussion of her social game. She didn't have much of one. She told Mike Bloom, I didn't make a whole bunch of personal connections minus the five people I was truly, truly working with. Which of course is no way to do well in big brother. You mentioned that in the first rule. It's what she does. This is Hailey's game was not built on social game. It wasn't. There was no social ability to and at all she was in alliance because she was athletic. That is why she was brought into that alliance and then her and yeah, apparently athletic. It looked she had her moments, but you know, when they came in form that alliance, it was initially because these are people who are going to win competitions, which is a tried and true kind of strategy in big brother. There's not like it's new. But at least once you get into that alliance, now you're supposed to go be social and you just social game to benefit yourself. And I mean, you know, there was nothing there. There's nothing to speak on when it comes to Hailey's social

game. We people were talking about her getting dragged to the end and nobody was talking about her winning at this point. You know, and that just goes to show you people are going to be willing to either vote for the other person more than you are. They're going to be voting against you because you isolated so many people. I cannot think of one person who I could have guaranteed Hailey would have got Hailey's vote had or would have been able to vote for Hailey at the end as she sat there. Everybody else, I could think of one other person they were vote for more than Hailey. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Well, we completely flip the script when it comes to Lala who is a very social person and who as we discussed, often took the brunt of Hailey's behavior. And unfortunately, others joined in too is you know, sometimes because allegedly because of her bluntness. I on August 20 live feeds after the live show she said to Taylor, I can't play the game and just be nice to A holes. Unfortunately, that is indeed this rule pretend to be nice. The two A holes part, it's not in the title, but it's implied because why else would you need to pretend?

And sometimes that did bite her a bit. It was mostly early on and to my mind was certainly not the reason she was voted out, but it's still inadvisable to do some of the things she did. And others even told her that some in nicer ways than others. There was talk of her controlling the kitchen, telling people to clean, telling people when to sleep and so on. Now these are things you just shouldn't do in big brother. No matter how annoying the other people are, no matter how messy they are, no matter how bad their unseasoned chicken is, that's when you keep it inside. And you just talk to others who share your view about it. Try to use it against the jerks. Because if you're saying it to their faces, it ends up making you look like the bad one. You know, I mean back in July, a fair number of viewers were upset that other players were telling Lala how to act. And yeah, I get it. But we have to remember this is a game, not real life.

And there's a reason this rule says you need to pretend to be nice and play the social game. When you're locked in with these people 24-7, you just can't keep doing things that piss them off even if they're pissing you off. Yeah, it's tough because it's the people in the house are not acting in a way that I would want to live in. You know, I would want to be around people who clean up up for themselves. I shouldn't I don't want to clean the bathroom every day. I don't want to have to clean all the dishes because they're old. I don't want to have to keep the ante at bay. I don't want to do any of that stuff. But if I'm surrounded by people who do want to do that stuff, guess what? In order to socially integrate, I at least need to act like I'm okay with it. You know, maybe I'm cleaning the bathroom, but I'm not complaining about it. You know, we saw Rachel struggle with that last season. She's scrubbing the toilet, scrubbing the bathtub, and then there will definitely be moments where she would be like, oh, wait, can you help me? Damn, you know, but you know, it monitoring the rest of the people in the house and kind of like waving your finger at them is not going to make them feel good about helping you, but also working with you in the game. Again,

I don't think you're wrong for wanting those things to happen, but this is a game. This is why people who are experiencing, you know, oppression in games don't speak up because they're like, I don't want to put their blood on me. You know, when Jason was being kind of isolated during the tea party, he was like, well, why aren't people speaking up because they're pretending that they're okay with this to appease the rest of the house because they don't want to go down with Jason. It's a part of the game. Yes, there are definitely moments where you can't speak up. You can be a champion for somebody else. But there there are downsides to that for real. You know, you can put yourself out there. I mean, this is not a survivor podcast, obviously, but I think it was Island of the idols, you know, where Janet ends up speaking up on behalf of one of the players in the game, Kelly. And Janet is at the bottom at that point. You know, that she is the pariah. It's not everybody else is not team Janet because Janet did the right thing. They're like, okay, now we got to get Janet out because she's anti all of us. And she might be the person who's most likely to win the

game now that she's done the thing that the noble thing, right? The people that the thing that America's going to vote for and give a power to, you know, so there's definitely reasons why, even though your instinct is to speak up for yourself or to try to establish some type of order. If that's not the, well, for what? If you cannot do that, if you don't have the ability to do that without pissing everybody off, you don't do it. But if that's also not the environment of the house and like the social environment of the house, you don't do it either. Derek Lovacer played in BB 16 and he's older than everybody else. And he pretended not to be any, he played the dumb games with everybody else and he did the things that he probably wouldn't have done if he wasn't, you know, in his mid 30s, I think at the time, because he wanted to fit in. He knew what the energy was in the house and he played to that. And that's a big part of the game. And so Lala definitely was a lot more well liked than Haley, but there were definitely moments where, you know, her instinct as a 50-some-odd-year-old woman that has lived a lot of life that doesn't

want to be uncomfortable, they kicked in as well. Yeah. Yeah. Now, you know, going to that survivor thing, that was the situation where obviously production should have stepped in much or less. Absolutely. So I blame production more for that situation and it's kind of appalling that they never brought Janet back to try to make amends, but I think they just want to forget about the whole. There's like three people that should have brought back besties into make amends. Right, right. Exactly. You know, in this case, do I expect production to step in because people aren't keeping it clean or whatever? Yeah, maybe do an announcement like, hey, the answer coming, you should probably look into that. It could hurt. But beyond that, it's, yeah, it's part of living together in a house. You know, when you're when you're on survivor, nobody cares how clean everything is, you know, I mean, yes, people have gotten trouble for soaking their foot in the rice pot or washing their dirty underwear in the rice pot or peeing too close to the cave that, you know, they were sleeping in.

But other than that, you're expected that you're living in the wild and there's going to be stuff like that. In big brother, you are, I mean, it's a parking lot, but it's still a house. You know, you're living in a house and there's some expectation. But you have to put that aside. And Taylor explained this to Lala a few times, letting her know people are mad at you. They're saying they're upset about the way you're treating people and you're demeanor. And Taylor was basically saying the same thing I did. Lala could act that way around her around Taylor, but you can't act that way around everyone else. Yeah. And I'll give Lala credit this week. We saw Lala going to Taylor and be like, lock in, you know, hey, I understand that your feelings are hurt right now. I understand. But we have more game to play, you know, and so there are moments where we saw Lala really starting to learn these lessons in the game. She was taking a lot of hits. So it was hard, but, you know, I'll give her credit for the ability to try to establish some of that

even though there were so many times where she wasn't necessarily able to. But again, despite all the things we just said, Lala was well liked leaving the house, you know, the people were, they had their issues obviously with some of the stuff that she had done and even some of the stuff that maybe she hadn't done. But I don't think I was to a point where I thought again, that Lala would get to the end and get zero votes. You know, I thought that if Lala made it to the end, there'd probably be a couple of wins in the mix. And then with enough people in there who just could look at as genuinely, or generally, I guess I should say pleasant person that she could have done well long term if she were to make it. Yeah, yeah. I mean, you know, the things that I mainly focused on were the downsides. And yeah, they could have come back to bite her, but they didn't. In general, like you said, the other players liked her. And none of what I mentioned, as I said, as you said, specifically led to her being voted out, it could have the same way Devon's volunteering as a nominee could have, but it didn't. Yeah.

So we could move on to the sixth rule, which says not to be too much of a threat. And we have some big contrasts here because our two players when it came to the ability to win comps, very, very different. Haley, D1 college athlete who seemed like she could have been, should have been a potential copies. But she literally went out of the game because she wouldn't couldn't win in any of four straight comps. And then we had 58 year old Lala who probably wasn't thought that way in the start despite her high fitness levels. But she won the grueling comps in the wall. And then the feel the burn veto comp that involved a lot of physical activity putting her tongue, which who knew. But because of Lala's wins, I'm going to flip the order of discussion here. I'm going to talk about her first. Because this was the main concern from those who considered her more of a threat in the game than tail. We know, of course, that players should

consider the overall overall threat level of someone not just comps. But there's a lot of things players do that they shouldn't and don't do when they should. And comps are a lot easier to pinpoint. They can say, well, she won this many and the other one this many. And it, you know, sometimes, especially Yash, I think, focused on comps. I do have to say winning two comps does not exactly make someone a comp piece. But that's how she was seen. And this season, there's a spread. You know, other than Yash, there's a big spread. So I can understand why she was seen that way. Yeah. So many people have won challenges. I don't think we had had a repeat HOH for a while. For, you know, I think, maybe I think maybe D's been HOH twice. But, you know, aside from that, a lot of people were winning stuff. And Lala winning the wall, winning the wall is already a big accomplishment. But Lala's winning the wall came with so much additional narrative. Right? It was the oldest person to win the wall. I think. And then also probably people's topics are being

not the person to win the wall. Right? I don't think anybody saw her Angela as standy good chance. And so for her to go out and beat Kamu of all people who was looking at as a huge threat, she kind of became a threat slayer in that moment. And then she's won a couple competition. So, yeah, in a world where Taylor has not won any competitions, except for, you know, surviving the block and a couple times with the blockbuster. You know, she won the blockbuster. She won the video. She didn't win the video. She didn't win the video. She won the, yeah, but she didn't it wasn't a physical video. It was the social video video against Chuck when they were drinking the potion or whatever. Yes. But that said, we're looking at physical competitions now as something that we're looking to see, okay, we're who can win these things. We know BB comics has come in. We know that a lot of these, these last challenges are like puzzle based there. They're their quizzes, but you got to move stuff around. You got to do a lot of running. And so, they start to look at Lala as a bigger threat than Taylor. Now, I was to give Lala again credit for that as well because this week she was campaigning. There were definitely moments where they thought we're actually going to keep Lala instead of Taylor, which goes to show you that, you know,

despite her being a threat, I don't know if she was too much of a threat. She was too much of a threat for the people in charge at the time, right? The people really controlling the votes with like Yash really putting his neck out on live for Taylor, but even Yash was willing to entertain getting Taylor out at this point because, okay, we know that Lala is a physical threat, but she could also be a physical asset. And so, I don't know, I don't think this is Lala's biggest issue at all. You know, like all the rules, I would say this is probably the one that she's handled the best, because I think that with her pretending to be more confused than she probably was, but also being confused lowered her threat level. And then, you know, winning challenges, but not really making too many big waves in the game. Lala could have skated a little bit further past this if she wasn't for Wig Devins winning the blood-wrested. Yeah, I think I'm going to disagree with you on that, which I'll get to in a moment for a specific reason, because you're right. When it came to the actual game rather than comps, she wasn't seen as a big threat and it's right in that way I'll get to. Julie brought up her hashtag confused strategy. And it definitely, as I mentioned, had some positive

effects of reducing her threat level from a strategic standpoint, plus it helped her cover up when she actually was confused. But like I said, that's not the type of threat most people in the house were concerned about when it came to her. And one thing that did concern some people, such as Barrett, was how close she was to D and Angela, especially compared to Taylor. When the votes were coming together, it seems from what we can piece, you know, put together right now, Barrett played a key role in telling everyone the votes were not there to get Taylor out. He took on like this middleman rule. And if the others had the time or inclination to talk to each other instead of through him, I think they would have realized they could indeed have voted Taylor out. I think most of them would have preferred to vote Taylor out. But in the few moments after the blockbuster, it seemed like

they mostly went with what Barrett said. So his viewpoint held sway. And you know, just like he didn't want Haley sticking around to be an extra vote for Angela and he didn't want Lala sticking around to fulfill the same role, especially with Taylor gone. So I do think that it was in large part because she was a threat, specifically in Barrett's mind, but also from the comps and other things. And it is funny to me, this is a little side thing. Julie, for the first season, kept asking, you have two minutes to strategize, you have two minutes to strategize, nobody ever did. I don't remember if she did it the second season. I think she gave up in the second season. This third season, it's not even mentioned. And yet every week, it comes down to people saying, okay, we'll tell them right after the blockbuster. And then nobody has time to actually talk to everyone. We see it every week and they still don't learn. And in this case, Barrett took advantage of that.

Yeah, that's fair. For me, Lala, the competition is that she wants you to win them. She needed to win the wall. She needed to win, you know, she needed to win that veto. Lala wasn't just winning stuff and putting a target on her back because she was so threatening. She wasn't walking around the big house, the big bad wolf here. She looked beatable. But at the same time, for people like Barrett, it was just too risky to keep her in the game. So she wasn't too much of a threat. I think in a vacuum, but again, it doesn't really matter if you are in a vacuum. What matters is it's a person in control of what's going going in the house, going to look at you as a threat. And this time around, like I said, Yash was able to be swayed. Barrett was not. Right. And it's especially compared to the person that you're, you know, up against devins, if Taylor had won, if that one ball had been one millimeter difference, you know, yeah, then no, there was no way Lala was going as a bigger threat than devins, but he was Taylor. Now as for Haley, I don't think anyone was particularly worried about her as, you know, especially at the point she was eliminated. Once she, you know, lost her sidekicks,

she lost her power. She was almost forgotten. But do you want it to keep her around as essentially her own personal extra vote, same with Angela? And in that regard, she was a threat, especially to Drew, because he felt, I'm sorry, to Barrett, because he felt like he was getting pushed out of the crossovers. And of course, they had just gone against his wishes to vote out Mallory. And he said on the show, you made me lose my ally. Now I'll do the same to you. And keeping Haley around was no help to Barrett. It could only hurt him. So again, when he had the opportunity to stack the deck against her rather than helping her like the icons wanted, he made the move. Yash, as you pointed out earlier, was only too happy to join in. The icons were upset, but there wasn't anything they could do at that point because of the twist. It took away nominations and votes. It left it all in Barrett's hands. Yeah. And even in Yash's, right? So like, I can say the same thing I said about Haley,

about me, about Lala, about Haley is that yeah, you might not be the biggest threat in the game to everybody. But in that moment, you're the biggest threat to Yash's alliance. And so Yash is like, yeah, put me in the game. Let me take her out so that she's not able to take out Lala. I know where this vote is going. I know exactly what she's going to do. If she's given the opportunity to eat somebody out the game until I need to stop that. And so yeah, in that moment, she was a big threat to the people who were left left in that position where they could play against her. If there was people like, like, you know, that end of the game, maybe she was working alongside in that spot. Yeah, it's like, oh, yeah, I can't fault her too much for that. But Yash went in because he said, no, there's a big threat there. And I can't allow somebody like, you know, somebody who is not as good and challenges to come in like Melody. I can allow Melody to go in there and lose this because if she loses it, Lala's going. Melody does nothing for me right now. I need Lala. I need Taylor. You know, these are the people that I'm working with closest. So she was a threat to the wrong people at the wrong time. Yep. Yep. All right. Well, the seventh rule says to trust almost nobody. And

I think early on, Hailey trusted her allies. As time went on, she realized she basically couldn't accept. She still did believe in Angela. So when Angela lied to her about that vote, it really hit her hard. However, once all that was said and done, it seemed like she just moved on to a point where she knew she was alone in the game. So when the medieval twist came, she seemed almost nonchalant about knowing she couldn't trust anyone to save her. You know, she, I think earlier in the game, if she's gone out, it would have been with a bang. But in this case, she just went out with a fizzle. Yeah, almost nobody. I think, I think that sounds about right. Almost nobody. Like, she didn't trust everybody. She, you know, but she pretty much a few people, right? The people that she did trust, she proved that she couldn't trust them. I mean, it's up to Chuck. They checked the only one who held it down for her long term. But Kamu, even when her day one alliance is couldn't be trusted. You know, that he was supposed to save you with that veto. Y'all picked him to play in the veto to save you. You know, so I can't fault her. You have to trust somebody. I don't think

anybody goes into the game and being able to win without zero trust for anybody. She was just in a position where she was giving these reason, people reason not to want to work with her long-term. You know, the social game is why she can't trust these people. She's isolating these people and she's pushing them away and ostracizing people. And so, yeah, when you go to tell them stuff, they're going to run it back because they don't have, they don't have you in their long-term plans. You know, or they're looking for somebody to take you out eventually. If not on their own hands, but, you know, by somebody else's. Yeah. Now, Lala, of course, trusted Taylor probably as much as anyone can trust another person in the house. And yeah, Taylor did break that trust a few times in terms of just venting to other people about her. However, it seems like that's all it was, venting. Even when she mentioned her game would maybe be better without Lala there. I don't think she really meant it. I think she was upset. And, you know, she certainly didn't actively do anything to make that happen. So I do think that trust was justified here. Yeah. She trusted mostly Taylor.

But again, my issue with Lala goes back to the first moments of the game, which is I think that everybody thinks they're motivated by the same motivation I have. So when I come in and I say, oh, we're definitely taking out the icons first. Lala, you don't know these people. You don't know these people. You don't know where their motivations in the game are. You don't know how they view the game, but you just assume that they all can be trusted. You know, these passing conversations that Taylor has a drag or to the side of saying, hey, like don't say that is because you're trusting the wrong people. And I'll go back to that conversation where they're all in the 808 room. And Taylor goes and gets in the shower. It's because she's like Lala is about to spill her beans to the ops. And what did they do? They went back and did exactly what Taylor knew that we're going to do, which is you ran back that information. And now we got this big blow up at the nomination ceremony. And people are looking at Lala and Taylor and they're having to defend themselves. And Drew was kind of like got them on the back foot there because he's standing up and saying, like, no, I was in the room. Y'all said these things. And although Taylor had technically left the room,

Lala welcomed that conversation. She did. And so she's trusting people that she knows she cannot trust. Lala has not worked with Drew in any capacity throughout the entire game. And yeah, now here she is telling Drew her exact plans as if we all on the same page, just like she forgot. Because she was comfortable. She forgot what was going on in the game. And so she started to loosen up. And I think her ability to get a little loose lip with people who she should not be trusting is definitely something that she could have worked on. Yeah, definitely, definitely. All right. It's about time to wrap things up. So what are your final thoughts about the duo of Haley and Lala? And they're very different players, you know, both of them. But it's not shocking to me that they ended up on, you know, two different pages strategically, but also just that these two people are never going to be working together long term in the game. It just doesn't look like they're the type of players that would that that would happen to. But they go out for very different reasons. Haley, the perceived copies goes out because she can't win four a couple out of four comps. She can't win one to save her life. And they know that they need to stop

her because she would take out the other person we're talking about. And Lala, Lala, on the other hand, surprises everybody being, you know, a comp threat. But, you know, being a comp threat and sitting on the block next to your number one ally who is not the threat that you are, you know, ultimately leading to you getting voted out. And so one doesn't make the jury one does. I would say that, you know, I don't think either game was very solid. I think Haley had the potential to have a more solid game than Lala did and then Lala probably probably outstays what people would have thought her ceiling was. And so it's very interesting that they do go back to back here. But I think that, you know, you can definitely people who watch me brother in the future can definitely look at the things that both of these people did as, you know, cautionary tales. These are things that you've done wrong and you did it wrong. Creak consistently, I think in a lot of these areas. And so it's no shock to me that both Haley and Lala have lost. Yeah. Poor, poor Haley. She had such a rough seven weeks. It's so sad. Except that she didn't, and it's

not. I'm actually quite happy. One thing I'm not happy about is that she wasn't voted out, getting eliminated in that twist instead. But with there being a little bit of social game involved, she had put herself in a terrible position by that point and she knew it. She couldn't rely on anyone else to save her. Other players had allies. She had none. The best she could do was de-anangela preferring to keep her around so they could use her as a vote. The problem for her was that other people didn't want to keep her around. And for that same reason and more, Barrett had the final decision and he saw the way the winds were blowing and certainly had no connection to her. Yash volunteered for and won the final comp and he had no connection to her and wanted to save Lala because as she told Mike Bloom, she didn't make personal connections outside of the five people she was working directly with. Two of those were already gone. The other three, as I mentioned, weren't

actually allies. Certainly nobody else was her friend, especially with the way she acted. She put herself into an isolated position and was going to get booted sooner or later because of it. Which is another distinction between this year and last. Haley losing Big Brother was inevitable. Rachel's lost last year was definitely not. And hey, Haley had been saying she wanted to go home before Jury so you know she got her wish. Lala was an interesting and fun player. The oldest one there with the most life experience but not so much experience understanding the strategies of Big Brother. She still managed to make her way through with a little help from some friends and she kicked ass in two important cons. Unfortunately both of those things were held against her having friends and winning cons. Specifically that she had friends among the icons and after Barrett had just succeeded in getting Haley out. The last thing he wanted was someone new for them to use as an extra vote, especially since her closest ally Taylor would have been the one to go instead if the vote had gone the other way, which would have left Lala more likely to

drift over to D and Angela. That meant for Barrett especially she was the biggest threat. Other people saw it as well but there have been debates about whether that meant they should keep her or get rid of her and he seemingly ended those debates for his own advantage. It's definitely amusing that the D1 college athlete who was supposed to be the Compes was eliminated because she couldn't win his Comped Saver life while the 58 year old who some derided early on was voted out in large part because she was too good at Comped to keep around. But of course their strategic and social games played a role as well, mostly negative for Haley, mostly positive for Lala, which was then turned into a negative. They were very different people who did not like each other and it's funny that we had to combine them here but that is why Haley and Lala Loth. Yeah, going from you can't hit a pickleball to oh yeah we can't let you get in further because you're the bigger challenge right? Such a Cinderella story for Lala but still

ended in tragedy. Yeah, yeah, it just shows the variety of Compes. Like yes, you can't hit something is very different than planking basically, you know. Yeah. So all right, well, everybody be sure to stay tuned in for our predictions in a moment, which are spoiler free written without any knowledge of what happened on the feeds after the eviction. But first a few other pieces of information. I do want to mention that the rules we were discussing here are similar to not the same as but similar to the survivor rules and those coming in shorter and much more colorful version in poster form go to rob his website.com slash yxlustfeed scroll down to the poster and click on it and you can also keep scrolling and get the poster on a t-shirt and the checklist on a t-shirt. I don't have to work. Yeah. And so I'll be there. Should be with taren on monday talking about the what's going on on sunday on the feeds. So check that out and more here on rjp and of course the slap behind the patron pay wall. Yes, yes. All right, well time for predictions. And like I just said they're spoiler free written before we know who the hohs. My thought is that devins is going to ride the wave much like drew did last week and go from blockbuster win to hoh win, which could make things very interesting in terms of who tells him what about who was ready to vote him out because I'm not even sure that everyone knew who was going to vote him out by that part. However in the end, I think he's going to stay crossover strong for now nominate yosh Taylor and melody, which if that happens, yeah, kind of boring feeds at that point. His primary goal would be to to vote out

melody to remove that tether from drew that might make things a little more interesting there. So it could be fun if someone like drew a barit. Were to win veto and take her down. Again, that would make things more fun if my predictions, right? But and yeah, indeed, I think they'll end up getting rid of yosh instead because no matter who his target is, that doesn't mean that's who's going to go. Yeah, I also predicted devins was going to win mostly because of I was on the stock watch and I definitely gave him a one rating on the stock watch and I stand by it. I think you think you're going to get a good thing. Not the audience. The audience gave him a three david. Okay. Yeah. I mean, it's hard to get the audience to do a one because but a three average. Well, you know that there were people there putting him as a ten just because they were fans of him just to rank him higher. Yeah. Well, that that was really by the sum of tarant. To me, I just felt like if if Rick and I said it then I'll say it now, if Rick was to win the blockbuster,

he's going to use that momentum just to make us look bad for giving him a one. And so I definitely see him coming in and did targeting somebody like like yosh, but also bear it. I think that this week it was very clear to that side of the house, the bear it yosh. The people basically ready to flip on on devins that yeah, they were all going they were all in on him getting voted out. And so if he survives, they're going to be throwing each other under the bus to make sure that one of them doesn't end up on the block. And I can definitely see maybe yosh pulling back the curtain on bear it being a part of that insurrection. But yeah, I don't know if who was going to go home from there. I think that you know, the the the the key to keeping yosh around is that the icons are under the impression that yosh can't target them anyway, if he wins H.O.A. So maybe he's not an immediate threat. But I do think that somebody like bear it should be watched because if he was willing to flip on you this time and it gets out, you have to know that your number is gone and that maybe you should be getting a rid of a bear it as a potential threat long term. Yeah, yeah.

All right, we will see we will see if we're right at all. And especially if we're right about who gets evicted. As we wrap up, I want to encourage people to check out the R.J.P. patron program at robhazwebsite.com slash patron. We have Facebook groups, we have discord. And of course, several patron only podcasts for big brother, including the one that you already mentioned, the slot, which is always hilarious. So definitely, people should join just for that. Thank you. I'm so happy to hear that. I'm happy that people enjoy the slot because you know, I think for me is one of the most fun parts of the patron community. Robhazwebsite.com slash patron. It's just where we get to let our hair down a little bit over there. Not that I have a lot to let down, but you know what I'm saying, it gets a little loosey-goosey on the slot. So yeah, join the patron community and then check out that content and much much more. Yes. And to make sure you're subscribed to all of the R.J.P. podcasts, we know bigbrother.com. Obviously, you'll get us, but also all of the daily life feeds and the other big brother podcasts
