Baylor Lands Top Guard Dylan Mingo

0:00On April 27, 5-star guard Dylan Mingo committed to Baylor for the 2026-2027 season, reuniting with his brother, Caden, who transferred in from Penn State. At 6-foot-5, Dylan's the top available guard in his class with a 98 rating on 247 sports. Baylor chased him since early this year, after a tough 2025-2026 campaign. He had signed with UNC back in February, but decommitted for reasons that stayed under wraps. Caden's are buzzing, this lands as the Baylor's top off-season grab. Coach Scott Drew needed a slick ball handler who creates his own shots, and Dylan's tight handles, gritty D, and rebounding fit right in. The brothers already share chemistry from before, both averaging over two steals per game. They'll anchor the back court alongside defensive studs like Juslin-Boto-Boto, Upfront, and Transfer Evan Chapman. New athletic director Doug McNamey's all-in-approach has Waco smiling, setting up one scary big 12 lineup if everyone's healthy.
