On March 13th, a 40-year-old band driver from Gordon has been jailed for two years and four months after twice beating away from police in dangerous maneuvers. Christopher Marshall pleaded guilty to two counts of dangerous driving, two counts of driving while this qualified and handling stolen goods at. Mantis the Crown Court this week. December 2023, a neighborhood officer spotted Marshall behind the wheel despite his ban and tried to pull him over. He sped off, hitting 80 miles per hour while overtaking traffic, mounting the pavement and running red lights. Officers ended the chase for safety reasons but tracked him down later for arrest. While out on bail, Marshall did it again in January 2024. This time, two young children were in the car when he fled from another patrol. He mounted a curb, clipped the bystanders vehicle, and forced an officer to break hard to avoid a crash. Police chose not to pursue the second time because of the kids on board, but they arrested Marshall just two days later.
