On April 22nd, a band driver named Sean Hogan has admitted in court to killing a woman during a crash on the A1 road. The 41-year-old victim, Jay Duncan from Dundee, was riding as a passenger in his Pujo 407 when it smashed near Barrican, Northumberland on January 28th. Earlier this week at Newcastle Crown Court, the 46-year-old from Gateshead pled guilty to causing death by dangerous driving. He also owned up to driving while disqualified, and without insurance, facing a judge who made it clear jail time is coming his way. Hogan's now-remanted in custody until sentencing on June 8th, a stark reminder of the deadly risks when disqualified drivers hit the road.
