It's April 23rd. Welcome in. This is California News Today, where local news meets AI. I'm Corey with the story. Patchard Bailey just turned Oracle Park into a madhouse again, smashing a three-run Homer in the bottom of the 7th to give the Giants a clean. Three nothings shut out over the Dodgers. It sealed a series win and handed righty Tyler Mollie his first victory since joining the team after seven scoreless innings and five strikeouts. Mollie bounced back strong from a nightmare start against his old squad, the Reds, where he gave up four homers and eight runs. Facing Shohei O'Tani on the bump, Mollie kept the Dodgers off the board, even escaping a jam in the 4th with some slick defense. Fans were hyped as O'Tani dominated for six innings with seven strikeouts and 18 whiffs, retiring 11 in a row at one stretch. But his 53-game on-base streak snapped when he went 0-4, including a sharp ground or snagged by the defense. The Giants chipped away late, loading the bases in the 6th, but getting struck out by

O'Tani's nasty sweeper. Then in the 7th, back-to-back singles in a sack run, set the stage for Bayley to crush a hanging slider into the left field seats. That blast sparked the crowd, and the bullpen locked it down with scoreless frames from Caleb Killian and Ryan Walker, who nabbed the final out. Bayer handed for his third save. Giants still the momentum heading into the next series.
