Baby Killer Sentenced to 13 Years

Robert Allen Guy has been sentenced to 13 years in prison for the manslaughter of 5-week old baby Michael Wilmot back in June 20, 21. The incident happened at a caravan park in southeast Queensland, where G was looking after the boy. The court learned G got frustrated with the baby's crying, shook him violently and threw him onto a couch, causing fatal injuries. Both G and the mother had faced murder charges but pleaded guilty to lesser offenses. Earlier this week, the judge highlighted that G had a similar history, assaulting a three-month-old girl in 2003 by striking her face and fracturing her skull. That prior attack led to a three-year sentence for G, and the judge called his repeat violence against infants an aggravating factor. The baby's death devastated the family, leaving a lasting impact they describe as horrific and unending. She must serve 80% of his 13-year term before parole eligibility.
