As the regular season nears its end, all eyes are on them heading into the trade deadline frenzy. Earlier this week on February 24, the team bolstered their defense by bringing in Brett Koolak from the Pittsburgh Penguins. They gave up Samuel Gerard and a 2028 second round pick in the deal. Fans and experts are buzzing about possible last-minute additions before the deadline hits Friday at 3 p.m. Eastern. The Avalanche are in full buy mode as the top team. Their recent 3-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks highlighted elite play from Kale McCarr, Nathan McKinnon, and Martin Neckas who are putting up MVP level seasons.
