The Colorado Avalanche dropped a tough 4-3 decision to the Edmonton Oilers, snapping their 5-game winning streak. They jumped out to a strong lead in the Central Division early on, but things slipped away in a tight third period battle. Martin Neckas keeps lighting it up for Colorado. He's got points in 7 of his last 8 games, including 7 goals and 15 points total in that stretch. That puts him 8th in league scoring right now, even if he doesn't always get the spotlight. Avalanche fans are fired up over Nathan McKinnon's ejection late in the second period. He collided with Oilers' goalie Conor Ingram, near the net, earning a 5-minute major for goalie interference and a game misconduct.
