Australia's Nikola Olyslaggers picked up silver in the women's high jump at the World Athletics' indoor championships in Torren, Poland. The two-time defending champion cleared 1.99 meters to share the metal spot. That height-mashed efforts from Serbia's Angelina Topic and Ukraine's Yulia Lebchenko, while Olympic champion Yaroslav Mahuchik to go by. Jumping 2.01 meters, Olyslaggers called it a special competition with four women hitting 1.99 meters on their first tries. Even without peak form, she equalled her indoor personal best and felt the joy of the event. Her teammate, Eleanor Patterson, placed 7th at 1.93 meters. Meanwhile, Peter Bowle won his men's 800 meters heat in 1 minute, 45.87 seconds, and Haley Kitchen took second in. Her women's prelim at 2 minutes, 0.09 seconds, both advancing for Australia.
